On her Instagram, she shared: “Parent hack.

“Any parent who struggles with kids who hate sunscreen on their faces, I use a blender sponge or makeup brush to help.”

Roxanne, who lives in Nottingham with her husband Mark and sons Phoenix and Kobe, demonstrated putting some sunscreen on the sponge, before applying it to her son’s face to protect him.

The hack took seconds and provided his son with full coverage from UV rays.

And it won’t cost a fortune either.

You can buy a pack of 50 sponges from Shein for £11.75, costing you 23p each.

Roxanne has racked up 13 million Instagram followers, five number one Christmas singles and secured brand deals with the likes of InTheStyle Jet2 and Smyths toys.

This follows another mum sharing her “tantrum-proof” trick of using a foundation brush for the same process.

In the clip, she showed herself applying sunscreen first to the foundation brush, before applying the brush to her baby.

I’m a mom and I’ve found the best buy to ensure my little ones never get sunburned and it makes the holidays so much less stressful

She added: “Share this hack with a mom!”

Many parents were impressed with the hack and said they wanted to try it.

One said: “Genius.”

Another added: “I do this too. Children tolerate it much better and my hands don’t get greasy.”

And a third wrote: “This is a good idea for adults, I would say too!”

Children, and especially babiesrequire extra protection compared to adults.

This is because their skin is more sensitive than adult skin and can be damaged if it is repeatedly exposed to sunlight.

But do we need to buy specific sunscreen aimed at children? Experts say no.

Matthew Gass, from the British Association of Dermatologists, told Sun Online: “When it comes to sunscreen, more expensive doesn’t mean better, you want a sunscreen that meets our recommendations but still leaves you with a wide range of options. .

“The key is to find the sunscreen that your children will be happiest using.

The importance of sunscreen in your skin care routine

Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez – known as Dray – revealed why you should wear sunscreen.

The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this is important for all ages – is to protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasized.

“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you “aren’t using a jazzy serum or putting 90 different things on your face every day.”

“If you’re not in your 20s, start now.”

But she said using sunscreen alone isn’t enough. Andrea recommended that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and not spend too much time in the sun.

Doing this throughout your life—and year-round, not just during the summer or on sunny days—”will reduce the visible signs of photoaging,” Andrea said.

These are wrinkles, confused pigmentation and sagging skin.

“This is tricky, but there can be a big difference in the ‘feel’ of different products, so it’s worth seeing if you can find one your kids prefer.”

It’s not just during summer holidays or in hot countries that we need to ensure children get sunscreen.

From March to October, children should be covered with appropriate clothing and use sunscreen at least factor 30, he said.

It’s vital to make sure your sunscreen is effective against UVA and UVB – so you’ll want to look for the stars and factor on the packaging.

SPF is what protects against UVB – or sunburn – while UVA is protection from sun damage all year round.

A three-star rated product will offer between 60-79 percent UVA protection, while four stars will offer 80-89 percent.

Of course, a five-star rated product offers the highest protection, between 90 and 100 percent, providing maximum peace of mind.
