A WOMAN was furious after her husband made a comment about her school outfit.
With the hot weather recently in the UK (only to happen again), one mum decided to go to school in a pretty dress that kept her cool, but it seemed her husband wasn’t a fan.

She shared a photo of the adorable black dress she wore to keep cool in the heat, which had a flowing skirt and a cutout back.
The mother also noticed that her hair went down to her waist, so most of her back was covered anyway.
On social media, she wrote: “Is this dress appropriate for school?”
Sharing a photo of the model wearing the dress, she added: “I’m 5ft 7in. The hair is as long as the models, usually covered back.
‘Worn with nude flat sandals, very casual.’
Many were perplexed that the mother had to ask if it was inappropriate, as they saw no problem with it.
But her mother was quick to add that it wasn’t her parents at the school gates who were judging her, it was her husband.
She revealed: “Comment from dh (husband).
I showed my friends that I said dress. And someone said they would have put on a jacket.
“I didn’t know it was Saudi Arabia,” she added, clearly irritated by the comments
The post soon attracted the attention of several mothers in Mothers Network who were quick to share their opinions in the comments.
Many couldn’t see what the problem was and had no idea that the school gate suddenly had a dress code.
One person wrote: “It’s a school reunion, not a cathedral wedding or an awards ceremony…? Anything that doesn’t constitute public indecency is fine.”
Another commented: “I didn’t know there was a dress code for school pick-ups.”
Is there a dress code for school?
While students and teachers have strict dress codes and uniform policies in the UK, there is nothing in place for parents.
Going to the local school, you will see a mixed group of mothers who like to dress up for the occasion and others who have rolled out of bed in their pajamas.
While there is no set policy for parents, there is of course a limit to what you can wear without raising a few eyebrows.
Bikinis and robes are sure to turn heads, but ultimately it’s up to you.
“I wouldn’t even think about it! It seems very superficial, who cares what you wear and what others think,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Is school withdrawal an event? Since when has there been a dress code?”
“There are mothers in next street for me picking up in pajamas and slippers. You would look elegant here,” said a fifth.
Someone else added: “Sounds good to me. I’m not sure what your husband and his friends are thinking. You don’t need a jacket.”
