WHEN you’re about to give birth, you expect your partner to be by your side every step of the way.
But one woman was left disappointed in the biggest way possible as her partner refused to leave her for the C-section, leaving people furious for her.
On social media, she asked if it was unreasonable to want her partner to be with her as she prepared to give birth to her child.
She explained: “The partner didn’t take me to my C-section appointment.
“He decided he would go to work the day of my C-section.”
The mother-to-be was left lugging her heavy hospital bag on two buses to her C-section appointment as her partner decided she would be OK doing that rather than leaving her at home.
“Even though I’m treading carefully at 39 weeks pregnant,” she continued.
“He said he would meet me there as soon as the action started (but not a second before, with the epidural injection, prep and exams, he doesn’t want to see all that).”
She was clearly devastated by her partner’s decision as she was left completely alone to go through the life-changing experience.
“No emotional support, no help, not even help with packing from the previous day/night”, he revealed.
“Instead, he was hanging out with friends last night until midnight.”
Although he assumed she would be fine on public transport, she thought otherwise and decided to take an Uber, which cost her £17.
“I decided at the last minute to take an Uber, £17 to the hospital, and took a screenshot of the fare so he could pay,” she rightly added.
“I don’t see why he couldn’t give me a lift and then return by public transport himself. Am I being irrational?”
The post has since gone viral on Mumsnet and people quickly took to the comments.
Not a single person had Cool thing to say about his partner, with many claiming he was too selfish to be a father.

“He is an absolutely selfish pig. Prepare yourself now for no help with the baby and start planning your future without him. Think very carefully about giving your baby your last name if that is your intention,” said a fifth.
Another person added: “I would break up with him and not let him come see the baby in the hospital or after. What a piece of shit.”
