A CRIMINOLOGIST has revealed the essential safety tactic she believes every parent should know.
Dannah Eve is a qualified psychologist and criminologist and calls herself “the street smart blonde”.
She revealed the scary kidnapping situation that can occur when ordering taxis and Ubers – but you can avoid it if you’re savvy.
“Whether you are in a taxi or an Uber, never allow your children to be the last to exit the vehicle,” she said.
“This is especially important if you are on vacation or in a foreign country.
“Never give anyone the opportunity to drive away with your child still in the vehicle.
“Even if it means your kids have to crawl over you to get out of the car first, make sure they do it.”
The criminologist urged people to “always practice situational awareness,” especially when children are involved.
“When I was little (and even a teenager), my mom left first,” she added.
“Then my father would take me to my mother and leave right behind me.
“It’s a very simple thing to do that can become second nature, protect your child and make sure they’re not an easy target.”
Dannah shared the advice in a now-viral Instagram video.
“I never considered it a problem,” commented Lee Garrett.
“Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
“I will try to remember and put this into practice whenever possible.”
“This is very important,” added Adia Rezzini.
