PARENTS are rushing to Lidl after a mum bought her son a mud kitchen for just £20.

The woman took it to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Group to share the epic haul, which is currently going for up to £100 on sales site eBay.

“£20 Lidl bargain! Mud kitchen,” she captioned the photo.

“I just bought this today (July 13th) at the Lincoln store, it was like a dumpster to get rid of.

“I don’t really shop at Lidl so I’m not sure if the bin was a normal thing or not, so I was happy when I found this bargain for our daughter’s birthday!

“I had to ask how much it cost as there was no price.”

According to the product description, the mud kitchen has two shelves and a serving tray, as well as an erasable blackboard and chalk.

It also has a water bucket with tap, two removable plastic sinks, two heating plates with temperature buttons with clicking sounds, four decorative flower vases, three wooden hooks and a towel holder.

Plus, it comes with three garden tools – a fork and a large and small trowel.

And other parents in the comments section were quick to say they needed to plan a trip to Lidl in hopes of finding the mud kitchen.

“Let’s check Lidl tomorrow!” one wrote.

“How about Lidl tomorrow?” another said, tagging a friend.

“My son got this for his birthday and he loved it!” a third added, but revealed they “paid £49.99 for it”.

“OMG I want one for my little girl,” said someone else.

“Half the price I paid!” another revealed.

“Great quality too,” another person added.

“I’m going to check out our Lidl tomorrow,” commented another.

Why Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts

IF you’ve ever shopped at Aldi or Lidl, you’ve probably experienced their lightning-fast checkout staff.

Aldi’s fast reputation is no mistake; in fact, the supermarket claims its tills are 40% faster than rivals.

It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget store claims, helps keep costs down for customers.

Efficient barcodes on packaging mean staff can scan items as quickly as possible, with most products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.

It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging, which keeps costs low when replenishing inventory.

As someone wrote: “OMG I’m looking for one of these for the kids.”

But another warned: “My daughter had this a few years ago.

“If you can, I advise you to treat the wood or keep it covered, as wood warps quickly.”

Lidl regularly sells amazing bargains for kids, and savvy parents have recently rushed to their local store in search of discounted school uniforms.
