ASDA has been praised for making a “game-changing” tweak to its strollers that makes them perfect for larger families.
Keeping children contained when going to the supermarket is never easy, which is why many parents choose to use strollers with seats in the front to make the trip a little more pleasant for everyone.
However, although there have always been options for two children to sit up front, two babies, a baby and a toddler, a wheelchair user and a baby, a wheelchair user and a toddler – families with more than two small children were often left outside.
So it’s no wonder the Galbally family were so thrilled when they headed to their local Asda to try the triple stroller for the first time.
How to save at your grocery store
THERE ARE lots of ways to save on your groceries.
You can look for yellow or red stickers on products that show when they have been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you will have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make hasty purchases when you get to the grocery store.
Buying your own brand can also be an easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills.
This means abandoning “better” or “luxury” products and instead opting for “premier” or value-type lines.
Many supermarkets run unstable vegetable and fruit schemes, where you can get cheap prices if they are misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not program, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and veg for just £1.50.
If you’re on a low income and are a parent, you could get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Additionally, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Families Support Fund.
On a video on TikTok, the father of four showed how there was a triplet in the back seat, two in the front seat, and then his oldest son, Henry, in the main part of the stroller.
“They’re all here!” he said.
“And here we go!”
All the children could be seen smiling and laughing as their father pushed them, commenting, “We need to take this home!”
“I think I like it”, he concluded
“Triple trolley at Asda – a game changer!” he captioned the video.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “Brilliant for you!”
“Ah, your smiles, they are loving it!” another laughed.
“Why does it look like Dad is having so much fun?” someone commented.
“I adore!”
“I had one of these for my triplets in our local Asda – that was 13 years ago,” wrote another.
In fact, the triple strollers are unique to each store and can be ordered by parents at their local supermarket – just one of the ways Asda is taking customer service to the next level.
“We are pleased to see that the Galbally Family are fans of the triple stroller!” said an Asda spokesperson.
“Any customer looking for a similar stroller should speak to our colleagues in store who will be able to help.”
