Everyone hates my baby’s name – I think it’s beautiful, but people constantly make jokes and say he’ll ‘get bullied’

A WOMAN has revealed she chose a baby name but everyone hates it.

The anonymous woman explained that she “absolutely loves” the name, but not all of her family members, as well as her friends, are interested.

Clearly not knowing what to do, the woman took to social media to share her dilemma, leaving many with their mouths open.

Posting on Reddit, on BabyNamesHelp thread, under the username @anotherrandomerrr, the woman shared: “Everyone hates my baby’s name!”

She then wrote: “I have a favorite baby name that I love; However, all my family and friends hate it.”

The social media user revealed the name she chose for herself future son – Forrest.

But although she thinks it’s “beautiful,” she shared that people have already started making jokes about Forrest Gump.

Not only that, but she stated that people have gone so far as to suggest that her son, who would have the same name as the movie character Forrest, who has a crooked spine and was forced to wear orthopedic braces, will end up with a disability.

She added: “Obviously I’m hearing the usual Forrest Gump jokes, but some people have gone so far as to say my baby will end up limping or mentally disabled.”

But the woman explained that she thinks the name, which wasn’t inspired by the 1994 romantic comedy, is “perfect” for her son.

Despite this, she was eager to hear advice from other Reddit users about what they thought of the nickname.

She concluded: “Personally, I think the name is beautifully whimsical and is the perfect name for my son.

“However, if you have similar names or suggestions, I would love to hear them!”

The UK has no law restricting names, but names that contain obscenities, numerals, misleading titles or are impossible to pronounce are likely to be rejected when registering a child.
