On social media, she said: “School is over today.

“My two teenage sons snuck in the door, leaving muddy footprints across the freshly cleaned hallway (they can’t be bothered to take off their shoes, despite me begging them to do so every day for the last 10 years).”

In typical teenage fashion, her 14-year-old daughter yelled at her mother as soon as she got home, all because her phone wasn’t charged, which was her mother’s fault.

She explained: “Apparently it’s MY fault, because apparently I washed her battery (she doesn’t bother emptying her blazer pockets before washing, despite me asking her ten times to bring her clothes downstairs).”

To top it off, her 15-year-old son was complaining about the dinner and vegetables she was making – invading her “filthy” room to order pizza and play Xbox all day.

The mother continued: “These children are angry with me every day, as well as with each other.

“They snort at my every (very reasonable) request.”

And not only that, she said that she was constantly compared to her friends’ parents and that they constantly demanded more money.

“They are spoiled kids that I never spoiled growing up,” she continued.

Despite giving them an allowance every two weeks, the children constantly asked for more, without doing anything to help their mother with the housework.

“They both wait for me to clean everything and when I pull them away, they just throw a tantrum,” said the mother.

“The daughter told me I belong in a nursing home because I asked her to take the recycling for me last week!”

She tried everything to arrange Cool days out while they were out of school for six weeks, but their children had no interest.

Instead, the mother said they preferred to sit in their rooms all day, addicted to their devices all day — so she gave up on them.

Free summer vacation activities

Museums – Some museums offer free entry to some exhibitions and also organize events for children.

Beach – It doesn’t need to be sunny to enjoy the beach, you can swim in natural pools, fish for crabs, build sand castles or stroll along the promontory.

Library – If the weather is bad, go indoors and borrow books, audiobooks, DVDs.

Cooking – Make your own mini cake or Come Dine With Me challenge.

Play dates – Invite friends for a convivial afternoon.

Board games – Enjoy a little sibling rivalry with rounds of Monopoly or stretch your brain with Scrabble.

She added: “Anyway, I QUIT.

I canceled this vacation and am taking time just for myself. All of my 20s and half of my 30s have been sacrificed to this pair of lazy idiots and they treat me with utter contempt.

“I’ve planned some lovely coastal walks and some lunches with some old friends, and my ungrateful kids can have fun and enjoy themselves now!”

The post was shared on Mothers Network where he soon attracted a lot of attention from other mothers.

People were quick to tell the mother to stop giving them money and take away their phones until her attitude changed.

One person wrote: “Take out your phones and Xbox and go out and have fun.”

Another commented: “For every nasty incident/sloppiness you need to remove something you do for them.”

“Stop the allowance immediately. Their choice. Behave reasonably or broke,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Stop the allowance immediately. Their choice. Behave reasonably or have no money.”

“This is your fault. Stop giving them money. Stop cooking for them. Stop washing their clothes. STOP,” said a fifth.

Someone added: “I wouldn’t give them an allowance. I know teenagers can be vile (I had one), but they seem very rude and ungrateful.”
