WANT to know if your new cordless vacuum is really up to the job?
Why not do what this pub goer did and take a test drive to your local Wetherspoons?
Greg Bobinski decided that his new vacuum cleaner needed a real test drive to see if it was getting its money’s worth.
That’s when he decided to take a look at the carpets at his local Wetherspoons in Otley – and was surprised by how much dirt his new purchase collected.
Greg, who works as a helper, artist and comedian in his spare time, shared the test in a viral TikTok, and local punters seemed quite confused by his antics.
Wanting to make sure the vacuum was worth every penny, Greg didn’t just clean a small section of the pub, but made sure to get into every nook and cranny.
Wetherspoons staff didn’t mind helping either, as Greg revealed that the manager had authorized the cleaning.
After collecting the dust, Greg emptied the contents of the vacuum cleaner and showed it off in another social media clip.
As you might expect, there was plenty hairdirt and other random bits of trash.
But the test was not for nothing, Greg revealed that he plans to turn the contents of the vacuum into a work of art and frame it.
“As filthy as I thought,” one person commented on the video.
“Come and vacuum the spoons next to me please, the floor is absolutely stinking,” wrote a second.
Others praised Greg for cleaning the carpet, one saying: “Doing God’s work.”
Another agreed: “Not all heroes wear capes.”
Why do pubs have quirky carpets?
Customers of the “Primark of pubs” have long wondered why the chain has such colorful and varied rugs.
And now Jon Randall, head of property development and acquisitions at Wetherspoon, has revealed why there’s such a colorful carpet.
He previously revealed that the boozer likes to put emphasis on the design of his pubs, investing in all aspects and particularly in the remodeling.
He said: “All of our new pub rugs are individually designed, some with details that reflect aspects of the buildings.” history or local area.”
But fans of the chain noticed that the carpet may also have another reason for its funky patterns – to hide dirt.
“They have those funky rugs to hide the dirt,” one person commented on Greg’s clip.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?
FREE Refills – Buy a tea, coffee or hot chocolate for £1.50 and you can get free refills. The offer is available all day, every day.
Check a map – Prices may vary from one location to another, even those close to each other.
So if you’re planning on having a pint at Spoons, it’s worth popping into the nearby pubs to see if you’re settling for the cheapest price.
Choose your day – Every night, the pub chain organizes certain gastronomic theme nights.
For example, every Thursday night there is curry club where customers can get a main meal and a drink for a cheaper fixed price than usual.
Withdrawal vouchers – Students can often purchase voucher books from nearby local universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep an eye out.
Be glad – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food at your table – but you don’t need to be in the pub to use it.
Making the most of this, cheeky customers took to social media to ask friends and family to order drinks for them. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date – Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanent tax bill reduction for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14th.
As well as the 12-day Real Ale Festival every autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.
