A WOMAN has revealed she gave a battered old caravan a major makeover without spending much.
Erica, a mum from the UK, bought a 2004 Lunar Lexon caravan that needed modernizing and has since transformed it from drab to fabulous, all on a budget.
Posting on social media, the savvy DIY fan gave her followers an up-close look at the van before its epic makeover.
Afterwards, she left people open-mouthed by sharing the caravan’s impressive brilliance, which was done thanks to giveaways and bargains on the high street.
Alongside the clip of her tiny home on wheels, Erica wrote: “Witness the colorful transformation of our old caravan into a vibrant, upcycled hideaway!
“We renovated the walls, cabinets, handles, flooring and added colorful decor.”
She then added, “Recycled and reused materials all the way!”
What was once a very dated space, lacking any personality with its boring brown cabinets, old carpets and green sofas, has since received a total new lookand now it’s the ultimate colorful caravan.
Erica opened up to Fabulous about her budget renovation, confirming that she used Crown’s dark grey, white and turquoise paints to brighten up the caravan.
Additionally, she also used gold cabinet pulls from Amazon and gold vinyl bathroom tiles, also from Amazon, to really make the space stand out.
Erica took her incredibly on-trend parquet-effect vinyl flooring from Factory Direct Flooring and replaced the smoked-glass drinks cabinet doors with details from an old radiator cover that she got for free on Facebook Marketplace.
One thing that really transformed the space were the dark navy blue seat covers, which Erica ordered online from Shein.
The kitchen area is now completely unrecognizable thanks to Amazon wallpaper and Facebook Marketplace accents.
In addition, Erica also equipped the caravan with a new sink from Victoria Plum, as well as a wooden cutting block and utensils from IKEA.
