Laura Muzzarelli (@lauramuszarelli) reported the strange situation in a viral video on TikTok.

She said it all started when they met at a Mexican restaurant.

The man was their waiter and didn’t speak English very well. Muzzarelli said he also didn’t speak Spanish fluently, but they decided to exchange numbers and text messages.

Their first date was scheduled to be at the local cinema to watch a movie together, but he was significantly late.

The film lasted 12 minutes when he asked her to share her location with him, which she denied.

In another viral videoshe explained more about what happened.

The strange boyfriend kept texting her, telling her to go out and even asking if she would like to watch a movie at his house instead of the theater.

Annoyed, she asked the movie theater staff to walk her to her car after buying a bucket of popcorn.

I met the love of my life on a dating app at 78 but I can’t bring her to the UK… I’m selling my ORGANS to make that happen

“Part two of my bad first date. I almost got kidnapped?” she added in the caption.

CROWD REACTION

Several TikTokers weighed in on the bad date in the comments sections of both videos.

Some said how they would personally handle the situation.

“When he said he was going to be late, I would have just gone and watched it alone,” said one.

“You are so patient,” another chimed in.

“This looked like a kidnapping in progress.”

TikTok Comment

“When he said he was running late, I would have thought, ‘OK, cool, I’m going to see the movie. When/if you get there, feel free to join me.'”

Others were seriously concerned about the woman’s safety – suggesting she dodged a bullet.

“This looked like a kidnapping in progress,” one wrote.

“No one is talking about him asking if you would come alone,” another added.

“That’s an epic red flag. He wanted to make sure you came alone.”

“Yeah, it wasn’t a bad date. It was a failed kidnapping,” said a third.
