The winner of the competition – which supports the Balls to Cancer charity – will be crowned on August 20 in Leicester and will represent England in the Mr World competition in Vietnam next month.

1. Roman Quane
Sports training student Roman Quane, 19, from Thurrock, Essex, is also a cage fighter and speaks Italian, Spanish and French.
He says, “My motto is: Face the unknown and embrace it.”

2. Dil Malik
WEBSITE designer Dil Malik, 26, from Ealing, West London, is a fitness coach and also helps disadvantaged young people.
He says, “I would be honored to represent our country with a purpose.”

3. Bal Tattla
BAL TATTLA, 26, from Greenford, west London, is an assistant manager at financial services company Deloitte and also works with disadvantaged children.
He says: “I’m determined to help others who haven’t been so lucky.”

4.Tommy Dodd
CIVIL engineer Tommy Dodd, 32, from Tenterden, Kent, supports the British Heart Foundation after losing his father Adrian in 2022 to a heart problem.
He says: “Life is too short – you have to make the most of it and push your limits.”

5. Christian Hawkins
SAFETY specialist Christian Hawkins, aged 25, from Reigate, Surrey, is also a competitive natural bodybuilder, restores classic cars and practices clay pigeon shooting.
Christian says: “Now I hope to hit the target as Mr England.”

6. Joe Hardcastle
PERSONAL trainer Joe Hardcastle, 21, from Leicester, turned to fitness as an outlet during a difficult childhood, founding the charity Active Lives Community.
He says: “Now I teach other people with similar difficulties that there are simple ways out, you just need to be led down the right path.”

7. Ash Bailey
CELEBRITY personal trainer Ash Bailey, 27, from Beaconsfield, Bucks, has worked with the cast of Jurassic World Dominion and Ted Lasso.
He says, “Stars or not, they have to work at it like everyone else.”

8. Nathan Angel
NATHAN ANGEL, 21, from Purbeck, Dorset, is a sheep farmer by day and fighter by night.
He says: “Actually, there is not much difference between fighting a sheep and a human.”

9. Daniel Rodzoch
MODEL Daniel Rodzoch, 23, from Manchester, supports Widnes-based cancer charity Sam’s Diamonds as his mother had the disease.
He says of the survivors: “They showed me that when life is at its darkest we find something within ourselves that helps us reach heights beyond our expectations.”

10. Sean McKitterick
FOR physiotherapist Sean McKitterick, 25, from Newcastle on Tyne, his proudest achievement is giving a woman struggling to walk a new lease on life.
He says: “Working on cases like this is incredibly rewarding.”

11. Manuel Alcantara-Turner
KINGS guard Manuel Alcantara-Turner, 22, who lives in Windsor, Berks, says he enlisted in the Army at age 16, knowing it would make or break him.
He adds: “It changed me from a boy to a man.”

12. Usman Janjua
PROPERTY CEO Usman Janjua, 24, from Birmingham, models, makes boxes and loves to travel.
He says: “It’s wonderful to experience other cultures, you learn a lot and it’s money well spent.”

Usman also volunteers at a children’s charity in Pakistan.
