The winner of the competition – which supports the Balls to Cancer charity – will be crowned on August 20 in Leicester and will represent England in the Mr World competition in Vietnam next month.

Sports training student Roman Quane, 19, from Thurrock, Essex, is also a cage fighter and speaks Italian, Spanish and French.

WEBSITE designer Dil Malik, 26, from Ealing, West London, is a fitness coach and also helps disadvantaged young people.

He says, “I would be honored to represent our country with a purpose.”

3. Bal Tattla

BAL TATTLA, 26, from Greenford, west London, is an assistant manager at financial services company Deloitte and also works with disadvantaged children.

He says: “I’m determined to help others who haven’t been so lucky.”

4.Tommy Dodd

CIVIL engineer Tommy Dodd, 32, from Tenterden, Kent, supports the British Heart Foundation after losing his father Adrian in 2022 to a heart problem.

He says: “Life is too short – you have to make the most of it and push your limits.”

SAFETY specialist Christian Hawkins, aged 25, from Reigate, Surrey, is also a competitive natural bodybuilder, restores classic cars and practices clay pigeon shooting.

6. Joe Hardcastle

PERSONAL trainer Joe Hardcastle, 21, from Leicester, turned to fitness as an outlet during a difficult childhood, founding the charity Active Lives Community.

He says: “Now I teach other people with similar difficulties that there are simple ways out, you just need to be led down the right path.”

9. Daniel Rodzoch

MODEL Daniel Rodzoch, 23, from Manchester, supports Widnes-based cancer charity Sam’s Diamonds as his mother had the disease.

He says of the survivors: “They showed me that when life is at its darkest we find something within ourselves that helps us reach heights beyond our expectations.”
