The mother (@wee.made.it) shared the food hack in a viral TikTok, which has since racked up more than 1.1 million views.

“Here’s the best school lunch for grilled cheese!” she said.

She prepared her grilled cheese sandwiches as she normally would and removed the pieces from the pan.

To keep it warm for as long as possible, she placed the slices in a thermos.

Three hours after preparing the grilled cheeses, they were still warm and ready to eat.

Viewers took to the comments to thank her for her clever trick.

“What? Oh my god, okay. Let’s ignore that I’m 39 years old and I’m going out to buy a thermos,” said one commenter,

“Just to get grilled cheese for lunch.”

“This is genius!” said another.

“I’ll do it tomorrow! Thanks for the idea,” said a third.

Some creative viewers added tips to take the hack a step further.

“A good tip is to pre-fill the thermos with boiling water and let it rest to keep the thermos warm!” said one.

“I heard that if you put paper towels inside the thermos, it won’t come out soggy either!” added another.

One commenter suggested trying the technique with other foods as well.

“The same goes for chicken nuggets with a paper towel inside [the] thermos!” they said.
