A MAN has sparked outrage after sharing a brutal post on Facebook Marketplace begging strangers to buy his ex-fiancé’s wedding dress.

The scorned man listed the dress for just £5 and included a bitterly worded description.

In the title, he cruelly described the dress as being “fat size.”

And the insults didn’t stop there, as in the description he described his ex-lover’s dress as being “chavvy” and suitable for “a slut”.

The Facebook listing says: “Wedding dress – would fit larger women, quite casual style, so would fit a cheap sl**per.

‘I had a lucky escape, so it’s new, which is more than could be said for the intended user’s well-worn vagina.’

The man then said he would not post the dress and that it would only be available for collection.

Finishing his cruel rant, the man said he thought the dress was a size 12, but added that his ex was “prone to lying” so it could have been a size 14 or 16.

The harsh post reached X, where in less than 24 hours it accumulated more than 1.2 million views.

Social media users rushed to share their thoughts, with many people extremely impressed by the man’s choice of words.

One user X said: “That says more about him than it does about her.”

Another said: “I think it’s a beautiful dress. She’s probably the lucky one who got out of the relationship.”

A third said: “No, but she looked stunning.

“I’m glad she didn’t marry him.”

A fourth added: “”Fat size is absolutely diabolical.”

How to choose the perfect wedding dress

Wedding season is in full swing, but when it comes to choosing the perfect dress, most brides-to-be are probably feeling a little clueless.

As someone getting married in August 2024, Fabulous deputy digital editor and bride-to-be Josie Griffiths shared her top tips…

  1. Give yourself time – unless you’re a sample size, dresses can take months to arrive. Don’t stress about looking too late, in my opinion dress shopping should be the second thing on your list, right after finding a venue.
  2. Visit several stores – you don’t want to buy on the first visit.
  3. But not too many – like a boy who can’t stop using Tinder, having too many options isn’t going to help you find the one.
  4. Take people with you – women who will be honest but also uplift you, unlike the mean relatives in Say Yes To The Dress, and preferably people from different areas of your life who won’t automatically say the same thing. I went shopping with my mom and two best friends, who didn’t know each other and had different styles.
  5. Think about it – I went back to the store before I made my final decision on the dress I chose, trying it again with my second favorite to make sure I was sure. It’s an expensive purchase and you can’t return it like you would your next Asos order, so take some time to reflect on it.

However, others seemed to see the funny side of the post.

One person said: “This is absolutely tremendous.”

A second person said: “This might be the best thing I’ve ever seen on the Facebook marketplace!”
