The mother-of-three, who was also pregnant, said: “I spilled Dr Pepper in my car and I knew it was the last straw, I need to clean it up.”

She then showed off the sticky mess left in her cup holder before turning around to show the mountain of rubbish she had picked up from the floor of the car.

Brittany then proceeded to vacuum the car seats and carpets and was shocked to discover how much food was trapped in the seats.

Mom gave it her all and also removed all the car seats to make sure she got into all the nooks and crannies.

She also saw an entire pack of Pringles lying on the floor.

Her eldest son was starting school soon and she revealed that was a big reason to finally clean her car.

Brittany revealed that she was particularly worried about teachers being judgmental about the state of the mess.

“School will start soon and I will be dropping off my oldest son,” she explained.

“And I don’t want to open the door and have the teachers be like, ‘Oh my God, did you see that mom’s car.”

Mom was too tired to vacuum the car, but was happy with the overall improvement.

5 Harmful TikTok Cleaning Tricks You Should NEVER Try

“If your car is dirty, clean it, you’ll feel so much better when it’s done,” Brittany added.

The clip soon went viral on his TikTok account @Brittanycreativecorner with more than 2.5 million views and 164 thousand likes.

People were surprised by how messy the car was and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

How to clean a car interior

Remove personal items: Remove all items from your car, including carpets, trash and personal belongings.

Open windows and doors: Ensure good ventilation.

Seats: Use the upholstery attachment to thoroughly vacuum the seats, making sure to get into the crevices.

Carpets: Remove rugs and vacuum them separately.

Mat: Vacuum the carpets, paying attention to the areas under the seats and pedals.

Cracks and corners: Use the crevice tool to reach tight spots and between seats.

Dashboard and console: Use a microfiber cloth and interior cleaner to clean the dashboard, steering wheel, console and other hard surfaces. For stubborn dirt, a soft-bristled brush can help.

Door panels: Clean door panels and handles with the same method.

Cup holder: Use a small brush or cotton swab to clean the cup holders.

Glass cleaner: Spray window cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and wipe down all windows and mirrors. Avoid spraying directly onto the glass to avoid scratches.

Fabric seats: Use a fabric upholstery cleaner. Spray a small amount onto a microfiber cloth and gently rub the seats. For stains, follow the cleaner’s instructions.

Leather seats: Use a leather cleaner and conditioner. Apply the cleaner with a microfiber cloth and then apply the conditioner to keep the leather supple.

Carpet Cleaner: Apply carpet cleaner to any stains on the carpet. Use a brush to scrub the stains and then dry with a clean cloth.

Carpets: Clean the carpets with a suitable cleaning product. Rubber mats can be washed with soap and water, while carpet mats can be treated with a carpet cleaner.

Panel Protector: Apply a panel protector to keep the surface looking new and protect it from UV damage.

Air freshener: Consider using an air freshener or odor eliminator to give your car a fresh scent.

Another commented: “How do I get to this point, I would go crazy if I had a few crumbs on the seat.”

“Oh my God, I want to know what your house is like,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Was Dr Pepper the problem?”

“Haha my car is so much worse. I’m so proud of you for cleaning it! You’re doing great,” said a fifth.

Another person added: “Coming from someone who grew up with this, yes, people’s concerns are 100% valid and I hope this was a reality check for you.”
