I’ve been using the same method to clean my baseboards for years – it’s cheap and easy, I only do it once every few months

A CLEANING fan has shared her favorite method for keeping her skirting boards in tip-top shape.

She explained that she has relied on this simple and inexpensive trick for years.

The specialist (@Mommapeaches5) shared her cleaning hack in a viral TikTok video.

She gets rid of dust and dirt from white baseboards with common household items.

Using window cleaner, she sprayed it directly onto the baseboards, leaving the product alone for a few minutes to take effect.

Then she mopped up the residue with some paper towels. The key, she added, is to stick to the routine once every few months.

“Oh my God, like brand new,” she said, surprised at the difference it made.

A cloth trick turned a hand towel into a turbo cleaning weapon.

She placed a clean towel under the water and drained most of the water, leaving some on the cloth.

Then she heated it in the microwave for a minute.

“The whole microwave gets steamy, so if you have spills from any kind of food, all you’re going to do now is start cleaning it up really well,” she explained.

With the towel, she instantly cleaned the door, bottom, and top of the microwave.

“Remember, it’s super hot, but it’s squeaky clean,” she warned.

She even had a homemade solution for deep cleaning wooden boards.

On a cutting board, she put some salt and half a lemon, squeezing the juice directly onto the wood.

After a few moments of “scrubbing” the board with the lemon, the board was free of stains and food smells.

Oh my god, like brand new.

“You should do this all the time, at least once or twice a week,” she said.

“A little olive oil after rinsing well and just like [that]young guys.”
