The CAR boot sales are a highly anticipated bargain hunting day for many people.
But thanks to good old British weather, events are often rained out – spoiling the fun for sellers and buyers alike.
So it’s no wonder that a little-known boot sale, which takes place whatever the weather, is causing such a stir.
And as an added bonus, you can even go upstairs for some meatballs afterwards.
This is because boots are sold in the IKEA parking lot.
It’s in Cardiff editor Ian visited one of the recent sales in Cardiff as he insisted it was “one of the best car boots around”.
“Unlike normal car boot sales, which take place in the countryside, IKEA’s car boot sale takes place in its underground car park, which means it’s in any weather,” he said in a statement. video on the It’s On Cardiff TikTok page.

- Trade as much as you want – it’s all part of the fun of being at a sale!

“Finally, once you’ve finished selling or looking for a bargain, you can head upstairs and grab one last bargain with a 9-item breakfast for £3.75 and a refillable coffee for £1.50,” added Ian in the video caption.
The boot sale has been so popular in Cardiff that further dates have been added, and will now take place on May 18, 19 and 26 from 10am to 2pm.
People took to the comments section of the TikTok video to admit they were completely unaware of IKEA’s boot sale until now.
“I had no idea about that!?” one wrote.
“My God, how did I not know that?” another was delighted, tagging a friend and adding: “We need to go!”
“I live near Ferry Road and had no idea this was happening!” commented a third.
“I’ll definitely go to the next one!”
“I, who have a friend who works at Ikea, never told me,” someone got angry.
