Tried to fix my washing machine’s rubber seal when it started moving – people are now ‘scared of doing laundry’

A HOMEOWNER made a shocking discovery when he tried to fix his washing machine.

When the appliance’s rubber seal began to move, they realized things were not as they seemed.

Bri (@briii1993) shared the experience in a viral TikTok video.

She explained that the rubber seal on the washing machine had come loose.

In an attempt to fix it, she recruited help to put the seal back in place.

Bri quickly realized the seal wasn’t the problem.

“When you go to fix the loose rubber seal on your washer and it starts moving,” she said.

His assistant removed a snake from the seal’s crevices, laughing as he did so.

His spectators couldn’t help but flinch at the sight of the animal.

“I’m tired of seeing TikTok unlock new fears,” joked one commenter.

“As if I didn’t have enough to worry about, now I have to check the washer for snakes,” agreed another.

“And now I’m scared to do laundry,” repeated a third.

“Well, I’m going to the mental hospital now,” said one viewer.

“I’m terrified of snakes. Sometimes shoelaces scare me.”

One viewer said they would have taken extra measures if it were them.

“Oh no, I would have thrown away the whole washing machine,” they said.

Another joked that the whistle would have been the end of the race.

“I would have died,” they said.

Viewers who knew the animals well, however, explained that the creature is actually gentle.

“Rat snakes love to get into strange places. Completely harmless and goofy animals,” said one commenter.

“They won’t hurt you. They just want a snoot boop,” added another.

“Yes, but definitely sneaky. They end up anywhere,” said a third.
