A mum has revealed the traditional wife lifestyle isn’t as great as people like to make it out to be on social media.
Alice from the US became a wife hustler at the age of 19 after giving birth to her first child, Fern.
Six years later, at age 25, Alice is now a single mother of two trying to navigate the world alone.
The term trad wife is short for traditional wife, and many choose not to work.
Instead, the partner becomes the family’s main breadwinner while they stay at home to manage the space, cook, and care for the family.
It becomes very difficult to leave if the relationship starts to go bad for some reason.

And Alice did the same during her youth.
But since the relationship ended, Alice was now struggling to find ways to support her two children, Fern and Sage.
On social media, she said: “How to make up for six years of no work experience or education for being a wife hustler at 19.”
Asked why she was no longer a fan of the lifestyle, Alice said it made it difficult to get out of bad relationships.
Although Alice did not work during this period, she built a strong social media presence, with more than 600 thousand followers on TikTok.
The clip went viral with more than 1 million views and it is not the first time that the mother has been successful on the platform.
In the past, Alice went viral when she admitted that she let her six-month-old son have nighttime habits instead of getting him into a sleep routine.
Alice explained: “Instead of forcing him to follow my sleep schedule, I follow his.
“He used to sleep at night, but lately he’s been sleeping during the day and that’s fine.
“You can’t force someone who doesn’t want to sleep to sleep.”
Commenting, one wrote: “A nighttime sleep routine/schedule helps babies learn how to regulate their sleep, which is essential for development.”
But people were quick to offer support to Alice in her latest video on her @ accountacellanispam and ask her why she objected to being a wife hustler.
One person wrote: “Wait, but I want to be a traditional wife. I hate the idea of not being close to my kids and having to work.”
“The same, but it’s very difficult to leave if the relationship starts to go bad for some reason,” Alice replied.
Another commented: “Something my current manager told me: “Your skills as a mother may be transferable! Prove that you are coachable and have a passion for learning.”
“You have work experience. You need to frame your social media experience as working in branding, marketing, engagement, etc,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Which field are you looking at?”
“Anything that pays enough accounts“, replied the mother.
“You are an incredibly talented content creator. Just put together a CV reflecting the editing, make a storyboard, etc,” said a fifth.
Someone added: “you have this Alice, it’s been with you since your dumpster days in YouTube! So proud of you and the woman and mother you have become! I believe in you.”

What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra-traditional role in her marriage, meaning she cooks dinner and looks pretty while her husband goes to work.
The trend is inspired by the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many traditional wives choose to dress in the style of clothing popular during this period (think floral dresses and slouchy cardigans).
Furthermore, the values considered important to business customs are similar to strict Christian values.
Traditional wives maintain that they are not forced into this way of life and believe that their purpose is to be a homemaker.
