An EFP shared some of the “stupid” things he saw on the job.

The long list of dog-related mistakes, they said, drove them crazy.

Editor Additional Board733 shared the failed pet owner in a post.

They explained that they had been veterinarians for decades and had seen many mistakes from pet parents.

Some, however, stood out.

“I’ve been working in the area since 99. I’ve seen a lot of nonsense. Some of my favorites,” they said.

At the bottom of the list was a financial decision they wanted many people to be aware of.

“People who get scammed and spend so much on designer breeds. $3,500 for a border collie lab mix?” they said, shocked.

Other errors that bothered them were reduced to negligence.

“Every person who doesn’t research their working dog before getting it,” they said.

Owners confused about vaccines also made their highlights.

“Owners who think the rabies vaccine will cause rabies in their pets,” they said.

I’m a vet and I’m fed up with so-called ‘therapy dogs’ – their owners are full of it, the biggest red flag

The long list of errors included issues that directly negatively impacted their pets.

The vet remembered a pet parent who didn’t know what he fed his dogs.

“Owners with chronic diarrhea should consult. ‘What does he eat every day? Does it include treats/food/leftovers’”, they asked.

The owner unknowingly revealed that he was providing his dog with an inadequate diet.

“Three frozen meatballs twice a day,” revealed the veterinarian.

One incident, however, put Paws at the top of the all-time list.

The vet explained that one owner revealed that she kissed her ferret’s “outer belly button” every night.

The animal specialist had the unfortunate task of breaking the news to him.

“I had to tell her it was his penis,” they sighed.

Veterinarians agreed that the latest incident got the better of him.

“As someone in the field of exotic veterinary medicine, this made me cringe on a whole other level,” said one.
