However, an expert has revealed three things you should remove from your home if you want a more sophisticated look.

Before you start throwing away your bed or sofa, it’s important to note that it’s often the smaller items that can give the wrong impression.
According to expert Daniel Ufland, you can resolve this easily.
The co-founder of the interior styling app Flitch He even offered his advice for making your home a more aesthetically pleasing space.

If you lived in the 90s, you probably visited a house with the infamous “live, laugh, love” artwork.
Unsurprisingly, quotes like these can not only make your home look outdated but also cheap.
Daniel explained: “They often feel cliché and silly, and lack the sophistication of more timeless pieces of art.”
“Furthermore, these pieces can quickly become outdated and not be to everyone’s taste, detracting from the overall aesthetic of the space.”
Instead of using them in your home, the Flitch co-founder suggests hanging a mix of paintings, photographs, and art to brighten up your space.
He continued, “Choose art that matches your personal style and complements your home’s color palette and decor.”
Even better, you can buy secondhand prints and art for less than ten dollars.
For those who can’t give up motivational quotes, Daniel says to include them “sparingly” and ensure they work with the rest of the house.

Renovating your home can be expensive, and most of us have to spread out decorating over several months.
While this can save you a small fortune, mismatched styles, clashing color schemes, and random decor choices can often leave your home looking disjointed.
Even worse, it can make it look cheap – no matter how much money you spent.
Instead of starting over, the interior expert says to make your home feel as cohesive as possible with similar styles and color palettes.
He told the press: “Choose a theme or aesthetic that reflects your personal taste and stick to it when selecting furniture, decor and paint colors.
“Consider creating a mood board or design plan to ensure all elements work harmoniously.
Daniel also suggests investing in key pieces, like rugs or artwork, to help bring the theme together.

Many artificial plants
Many of us struggle to keep plants alive, with artificial plants often being an easy alternative.
However, having too many artificial plants can make your space look tacky – according to interior expert.
Instead of banishing them all, Daniel says to incorporate a variety of low-maintenance plants throughout your home.
These include snake plants, pothos, and succulents, which can be placed in different rooms to add a pop of color and a natural feel.
If you still want to use artificial plants, the Flitch the co-founder says to use them sparingly in your space.
