I bought a load of children’s costumes for £1.80 – I was afraid people would criticize me for taking so many, but I have my reasons

TESCO fans are rushing to their nearest store after a shopper revealed what a great bargain she scored.

The supermarket chain is known for great deals, so when a woman named Tasha saw children’s costumes massively reduced, the deal was too good to pass up.

She participated in the popular money saving Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargains in the UK to praise your discovery.

Next to a Photograph of the costumes she bought, Tasha said: “Up to £2 each (£1.80 with club card plus!) at Tesco Inshes in Inverness.”

In the photo, Tasha showed off 13 different costumes, including Toy Story characters like Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

The savvy shopper also revealed she had a good reason for clearing the shelves of reduced costumes.

“These will be going to the hospital at Christmas time,” she revealed, as she asked other members of the money-saving group not to hate her for grabbing so many.

Fellow bargain hunters couldn’t believe how cheap the costumes were and many said they would try to buy some for themselves.

One commented on the post: “Great find! And I’m glad you donated!”

A second agreed: “Great action!”

Meanwhile, other shoppers wanted to know if there were still costumes on the shelves — and luckily there were still plenty, Tasha noted.

One said: “Buzz Lightyear! What a great find.”

Supermarket chic or high street fancy – can you tell the difference between fancy jeans more than double the price of their supermarket twins?

Another tagged a friend and wrote: “Please look for Woody next time you’re in Tesco.”

And another said: “Lovely of you to donate them.”

The bargain isn’t the only great deal Tesco shoppers have been loving recently.

A fashion fan named Rebecca took to TikTok to praise the brand’s summer dresses.

The fashionista, who is 5ft 7in and between sizes 14 and 16, tried on a stunning selection of new clothes from the supermarket’s F&F range – and they’re perfect for spring/summer.

Among them is a “flattering” and “tummy-shaping” swimsuit for your holiday – and at £22.50, it’s a total bargain!

Pairing the monochromatic number with a pair of super stylish embroidered shorts, Rebecca said: “If you haven’t managed to try an F&F swimsuit yet, get over there.

“They’re amazing, they’re so flattering and they shape the tummy.”

What can I get with the Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO’s Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points while they shop.

These points can then be transformed into discount vouchers for food at the supermarket or discounts at other places, such as restaurants and tours.

Every time you spend £1 in store and online you earn a point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers who use a loyalty card earn one point for every two liters spent on fuel.

One point is 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 discount voucher, for example.

You can double their value by exchanging them for discounts with “rewards partners”.

For example, vouchers worth £12 can be exchanged for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.

Or you can exchange 50p points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.

Where you can spend them changes regularly and you can check the Tesco website to see what’s available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have their loyalty card.

Discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you will pay a higher price.

Clubcard prices are usually labeled on the shelves, along with the price for non-members.

But it’s important to note that just because it’s discounted doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the cheapest on the market, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up for a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.
