A woman showed her followers the cleaning rule she follows for fresh-smelling clothes.
In your viral videoJess (@jess_loves_2save) revealed the products he uses in his routine, and fabric softener was not among them.
She advised the public to avoid using anything in the laundry aisle as many items can damage your clothes and towels.
According to Jess, she reduced the number of items in her process and noticed that her towels smelled “so much better.”
The laundry professional told the audience that she noticed that detergent often got stuck in the tray, preventing clothes from being washed properly.

As a result, she now adds half a spoon of OxiClean and two tablespoons of detergent directly into the drum.
Jess also carefully places your items in the drum to ensure the best cleaning.
She left the center of the machine free, forming a “donut” of towels around it.
For her “rule of thumb,” she recommended filling “no more than two-thirds of the way through the drum.”
“You need that opening so the clothes or towels have room to get clean,” she explained.
After loosely packing the towels, she used a quarter cup of white vinegar to sanitize them.
Jess advised the public to place it in the fabric softener tray as it is only needed during the rinse cycle.

They listed overloading your washing machine as one of the top reasons your towels might smell musty after cleaning.
“While it may be tempting to squeeze all your laundry at once, an overcrowded washing machine can prevent your towels from being thoroughly cleaned and rinsed,” they said.
