A FORMER tattoo enthusiast has spoken out about his regrets about the ink.

They explained that although they no longer wanted all the tattoos on their bodies, they were past the point of no return.

Editor ThatzWhy_PeachyPie shared their tattoo woes in a viral post.

“I regret getting tattooed. I have so many tattoos that I lost count,” they said.

The problem, they explained, was not the quality of the paint.

“Most of them are also great work, traditional American,” they said.

“I have never left a session unsatisfied with a tattoo. I really like them all.”

Instead, the issue lies in the permanent nature of tattoos and the fickleness of human nature.

“I think I’ve changed as a person because every time I look in the mirror, I miss my bare skin,” they admitted.

“I wish I could go back in time and never get tattooed again. However, I have so many that I would probably spend the rest of my life removing them if that were the case.

“Not to mention I don’t have that much money. So I just say, fuck it and keep getting tattooed because I’m already covered and there’s no going back now.”

“It’s just depressing to be [uncomfortable] in your own skin, not feeling like yourself, and there’s nothing you can do about it now. Anyone else?” they asked.

Many former tattoo fans agreed that they made a hasty decision with body ink.

“Yes, I really regret getting tattooed; I hate it so much; always having to cover this is so depressing,” said one commenter.

“I have three tattoos and I regret them all,” said another.

“I am what many people would consider ‘heavily’ tattooed. One full arm, sleeve from shoulder to wrist, another covering the entire leg, from toes to hips, full belly, full back, shoulders,” said a third.

“I don’t have tattoos on my hands or neck/face. If I’m wearing shoes, jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt, you can’t see any of my tattoos except the ones on my chest.

“I am deeply sorry [the] placement because even with generally modest tops, they still show because they are too close to my cleavage,” they added.

“Actually, I REALLY love most of my tattoos, but the ONLY thing I hate is when I’m fully clothed and nothing shows EXCEPT my chest tattoos.

“It’s the only place that appears. If it weren’t for them, I could walk around without anyone seeing one. That’s what I’m removing at the moment.

“[A] The big motivation is that I love wearing dresses, but my chest tattoos are the only thing that really turns me off for some reason.

“Once I have a clean, bare chest again, I can literally wear normal clothes and still be present as if I don’t have tattoos.”
