AN irate man has spoken openly about his wife’s dishonesty over her income.

He discovered that not only did she earn almost double the money she said she made, but she also secretly gave it away.

Editor Mundial_Ad9029 explained how the lie deeply affected his marriage in a viral post.

His wife makes a living writing serialized fiction on various apps.

“I thought she won like [much] like $8,000 every month. We built a house together (we both contributed, but most of the money came from her since she earns so much more),” he said.

‘Yesterday I discovered she hadn’t been honest about her income. In fact, she earns around $15,000 and sometimes $20,000 (depending on how much she writes, how many people pay to read it that month, and the money from the writing contests she wins).”

His wife, a deeply religious person, donated half of her income to her church.

“She gives half of the money to the pastor because she has a pact with God to always give half of her income as tithe,” he said.

The husband explained that despite his wife’s devotion to the church, he thought lying was a sin.

“This is money we could use for many other things. Savings, investments and even trust funds for our children (we have two aged eight and six),” he said.

“I told her to stop or at least reduce the percentage, but she refused.

“I was upset and told her that she was extremely foolish for this, as the pastor was probably keeping most of the money for himself.

“It was an ugly argument. She called me a [a**hole] who is trying to control her and said it’s not my money so I can’t tell her what to do.”

After the argument, he left the house to find some space.

“I spent the night somewhere else and didn’t come home because I’m still upset,” he said.

“Another reason I was so upset is that my wife breaks her back writing,” he added.

“She barely sleeps on [doing] housework because she has to publish chapters every day to not lose her monthly bonuses, so her donating half of that is annoying.

Those who were more knowledgeable about tithing thought his wife was giving too much.

“The tithe is normally 10%. I would be curious about the specifics of this alliance and how much influence the recipient had in earning that 50%,” said one commenter.

“But I also have a healthy distrust of religious organizations and the myriad of shady things they have done in the past.”

“I would be curious about the details of this CULT… There, I fixed that for you. FIFTY PERCENT IS WILD,” added another.

Many agreed that the “church” was not what it seemed.

“[Tithing] is 10%. No 50. Your wife is in a cult. And probably under pressure from the IRS,” another person noted.

Others felt that his wife’s funding of a cult organization was the least shocking aspect of his story.

“I just want to know which sites [she’s] writing. I could use that kind of money,” said one commenter.

“Seriously,” agreed another.
