WE all love having a clean house, and then there are those of us who can’t wait to get the bleach out.
A cleaning genius has revealed she loves the product so much she’ll use a whole bottle on her patio – despite the backlash on TikTok.
If you are following Chantelelle on TikTok, get ready to feel a lot of envy at home.
Like others in the travel community, she loves having her house tidy and rarely a day goes by that she isn’t cleaning.
Not only does she make the bed every day and add lines to the rugs with a damp cloth, but the domestic goddess uses countless bottles of bleach.
In a now viral video, she showed herself cleaning her kitchen counters with the scented Fabulousa to have a spotless home.
However, the cleaning queen is far from done.
While most of us have finished our chores and gotten some well-deserved rest, Chantelle is already planning the next area to be tackled.
She even takes the time to clean her little patch of artificial grass by hosing it down.
The cleaning genius will even pour pure bleach on your patio and in your dogs’ enclosures.
Once this is done, she will scrub the two spaces well with a stiff bristle brush before washing them with water.
Showing how effective it was in removing algae from her patio, the stone practically glowed in the now-viral video.
In a voiceover, she confessed: “I love the smell of bleach. Honestly, I’m weird.
Despite her impressive cleaning tip, not everyone was impressed with her efforts and as the video went viral, some even asked if it was safe.
Noting how much she used, one complained: “Using bleach outdoors is not good for the soil…it just soaks into the soil {and is]a nightmare for the ecosystem.”
Another added: “Want to know if it’s safe to use bleach outside for your dog?”
“You will end up blinding your dog with bleach…” argued a third.
Others were obsessed with Chantelle’s incredibly clean space, with a fourth writing: “The bleach smell is amazing, I swear I don’t know anyone who likes the smell.”
“Ohh, I’m so happy to find out you’re TikTok! I saw your cleaning hack videos on YouTube! I loved!!!” gushed a fifth.
As the debate rages on in the comments, it’s important to note that using bleach is safe — as long as you follow certain rules.
Common household cleaning product can be highly toxic to pets as it contains chlorine, which is harmful to many animals when ingested.
Alarmingly, it can also damage your dog’s coat.
Despite this, many clinics and veterinarians still rely on cheap cleaning products.
According to the animal charity Blue CrossYou should always keep animals away when using bleach and ideally they should remain out of the space until it is completely dry.
This is because bleach can easily be transferred to your beloved dog when the surface is wet, soaking into the fur or being licked off.
If you are using bleach, you will also need to make sure it is properly diluted with water and rinsed before letting the space air dry.
The more you know, right?
