A TEEN mum has proved all the doubters wrong by graduating.

Maddie Lambert-Crowley dropped out of school after becoming pregnant with her first child at just 13 years old.

But this has been a great year for the mother of two.

She turned 21, welcomed her second child and has already completed her first degree – and it’s only May.

Maddie, who calls herself “that girl who got pregnant at 13,” welcomed a baby boy named Ryder James in March.

She also has a six-year-old daughter named Everly Joy, with whom she became pregnant when she was a teenager.

She shares little Ryder with her husband, Randy Crowley, but shares Everly with another parent.

Maddie and Randy tied the knot while she was pregnant with Ryder and tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony in September last year.

Now, she has proudly revealed that she has a degree in arts.

Maddie announced the news in a series of Instagram photos.

She held up a sign that read “hot moms graduate” and posed with her two children.

The mother of two has previously opened up about the “hate” she received when she told the world she was pregnant at 13.

“Whenever you see the media surrounding teen moms, you see the TV shows, and it’s really negative and shows a lot of drama,” she told Truly.

“When I got pregnant, I was very scared of the reaction people would give.

“I got a lot of negative reactions, a lot of hate.”

People told the then-teen that she had “ruined her life”, with one troll even wishing death on her.

Everyone had something to say and they didn’t hold back. I asked people to send me the addresses of abortion clinics

“Everyone had something to say and they didn’t hold back,” she continued.

“I asked some people to send me addresses of abortion clinics.”

Other girls at school made fun of Maddie and put sports balls under her top to mimic her baby bump when she was seven months pregnant.

This led her to give up.

Maddie firmly believes that teenage pregnancy is not something to “snub” girls about.

She openly admitted that she judged teen mothers before becoming one, but now sees things differently.

Different Parenting Styles Explained

There are four recognized parenting styles explained below:

Authoritative Parenting

What some might describe as “regimental” or “strict” parenting.

Parents with this style focus on strict rules, obedience, and discipline.

Authoritarian parents assume decision-making power, rarely giving their children any input on the matter.

When it comes to rules, you believe it’s “my way or the highway.”

Permissive Parenting

Often referred to as ‘soft parenting’ or ‘yes moms/dads’.

Permissive parents are tolerant and only intervene when there is a serious problem.

They are very forgiving and adopt a “kids will be kids” attitude.

They often act more like friends than authority figures.

Authorized Parenthood

Authoritarian parents provide rules and limits to their children, but they also give them freedom to make decisions.

With an authoritarian parenting style, parents validate their children’s feelings while making it clear that adults are ultimately in charge.

They use positive reinforcement techniques, such as praise and reward systems, as opposed to harsh punishments.

Neglectful or uninvolved parenting

Essentially, neglectful parents ignore their children, who receive little guidance, affection and attention from their parents.

They don’t set rules or expectations and tend to have minimal knowledge about what their children are doing.

Uninvolved parents expect their children to raise themselves. They don’t devote much time or energy to meeting children’s basic needs.

Uninvolved parents can be negligent, but it is not always intentional. A parent with mental health or substance abuse issues, for example, may not be able to consistently care for a child’s physical or emotional needs.
