IF you’re planning to spend the summer in the garden, you’ve probably prepared it in the last few weeks.
While some gardening chores take forever, one woman found an easy way to make her patio sparkle with a single product.
Like many of us, Anouk I was desperate to get rid of the algae and dirt that had accumulated on the paving stones.
In fact, she was so determined to clean them up for the summer that she asked TikTok for help.
She didn’t have to wait long either, as she was inundated with suggestions that included bleach, Patio Magic and even a jet washer.
However, the cleaning influencer finally decided to test a cheap buy that kept popping up in the comments.
“The best I’ve found so far is Astonish’s mold spray,” a follower suggested in one of Anouk’s previous videos.
“Just wet the patio, spray it, scrub it a little if you want. Leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it off,” they said, with the influencer doing this method in a video that has already gone viral.
After spraying a generous amount of Surprise Mold and Mildew Blaster On the other side of her patio, the content creator took a stiff brush and scrubbed the garden flagstones.
Determined to explore every nook and cranny, she pressed firmly and applied the cleaning spray to the paving stones.
Once done, she left the product to soak for ten minutes before rinsing.
Showing the before and after, her TikTok followers couldn’t believe the difference the spray had made – which easily lifted months of dirt.
“Thank you everyone for sharing all these amazing ideas!” she wrote in the caption, adding, “I’ll keep trying as hard as I can!”
If you’re tempted to try this trick, you’ll be pleased to know that you can find Astonish at most discount stores.
This includes Poundland, which currently has the apple-scented spray for just £1.50 right now.
Speaking about the gardening hack, Olivia Young, product development scientist at Astonish, said the product can even be used to prevent build-up.
She told Fabulous: “If you use it regularly it will help prevent mold from returning.
You should clean your patio frequently during the summer to keep it well maintained and prevent mold and mildew buildup.
In fact, she revealed that you can use it on inflatables and other items in your garden.
“The spray can also be used to treat other areas of your outdoor space this summer, including kiddie pools,” she continued, adding, “Its fresh apple scent is ideal for summer, helping your outdoor space smell and smell better. look amazing!”
With less than a week until the holidays, now is the time to get your garden sparkling and ready for summer.
May gardening work

The Sun’s gardening editor Veronica Lorraine shared the tasks you need to get done in May.
GARDEN growth can go from zero to ninety in May, depending on the weather. The last frosts in the UK usually occur at the beginning of the month, so suddenly there is so much more to do and grow.
Plant dahlia tubers
It’s a joy to finally plant your dahlia tubers. Keep in mind how big they can get—and space accordingly—anything up to two feet apart.
It’s a good idea to invest in your backing bets now rather than trying to work around them.
And be sure to include lots of well-rotted manure or decent compost to feed it, and then mulch it to keep it moist and suppress weeds. They usually start to bloom in July.
Final feeding for spring flowers
You can give any remaining tulips and daffodils a cheeky feed.
While most bulbs are no longer guaranteed to come back year after year, as long as you let them die naturally, there’s a good chance they’ve stored enough energy to come back again. Tomato feeding is fine.
Tie climbers
Your clematis, honeysuckle and rambling roses should already be well underway – try using plastic string to tie them back to the support or clip them together to ensure they don’t sprout in crazy directions.
Feed the lawn
It’s not too late to give your lawn a good nourishment.
Whether you use granulated or liquid, it can be a good boost to get you through the harshest summer months.
When mowing the grass, do not shorten the length of the cut too much and never shorten the height of the grass by more than a third.
Be creative
It’s also time to get creative when hanging baskets and pots.
Pelargoniums, which many people call geraniums, and begonias are a good, low-cost way to get beautiful flowers that return all summer long in your baskets.
And the pots can be planted with spring bulbs.
Don’t forget the greenhouse!
Give your greenhouse a good tidy and clean the glass inside and out.
The improved light will help plants grow faster inside, and the tidiness is good for the soul.
You can simply use a homemade solution of white wine vinegar and water – or even plain if you’re tired – which gives a really nice shine.
