EVERYONE and their cat seems to be selling on Vinted at the moment – and for good reason.
Not only is it a simple way to organize and earn some extra cash, but it’s also an easy-to-use app that lets you keep all the money from your sales.
But as with most things that gain popularity – the more people use the site, the more bizarre encounters happen.
And one woman took to social media to share the rude response she received from a potential buyer.
In the photo, the buyer was selling an adorable royal blue bikini on Vinted for £10.
But it seemed too expensive to a buyer who tried to haggle.
In the image you can see that the buyer was asked to buy it for just £2 – an 80% reduction in what the seller was hoping to get.
Of course, the seller said no, but the buyer was still trying his luck asking to buy it for £2.50.
Again, the seller politely declined the offer, adding ‘No, it’s £10’.
Still not giving up, the buyer offered £3, but was again shot down.
“No, it’s £10, I won’t take less for that,” the salesman replied.
But it didn’t seem to please the potential buyer.
Replying to the seller, the angry woman wrote: “Shove it up your ass you bitch.”
Horrified by the response, the woman shared the interaction on social media where it was captured on the Facebook page Great british memes.
People were shocked by the response and many shared their own rude interactions on the site.
One person wrote: “Someone complained to me about a blazer they paid £2 for because it smelled like perfume (even though I never wore it).
“I told them to put it in the washing machine because people buy second-hand clothes and wear them unwashed. Apparently that makes me rude… £2.”
Another commented: “The best thing is when someone buys your item for the most haggled price ever and you actually let them have it, only to find them selling it again for twice the price.”
“This is nothing. A woman tried to buy 3 of my things and wanted to pay £2.50 for the whole lot! They were being sold for £5 each! How bloody cheeky!” wrote a third.
Do you need to pay taxes on items sold on Vinted?

QUICK tax facts from the Vinted team…
- The only time an item may be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and makes a profit (sold for more than you paid for it). You can still use your £3,000 capital gains tax-free allowance to offset it.
- Generally, only commercial sellers who trade for profit (buy goods with the aim of selling them for more than they paid for them) may have to pay taxes. Business sellers trading for profit can use a £1,000 tax break, which has been in place since 2017.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “But would she take £4? Someone should ask.”
“Discover the person who never heard no as a child,” said a fifth.
Someone else added: “This is what I was talking about when people offer so much less.”
