Ramona Cruz-Peters (@fabeeveryday) shared the gardening tip in a viral TikTok video.

“Gardening tip for small spaces! I’m going to show you how easy it is to make a hanging herb garden in pots,” she said.

“This is a great solution for apartment gardening, for renters who need a non-permanent gardening solution or if they simply don’t have a lot of space.”

Ramona headed to the supply store, where she picked out a trellis that matched her space and personal style.

She added that a pro tip is to choose one with a wide base to avoid tipping over.

Next, she picked up vases with built-in hangers.

Although Ramona opted for ones from Ikea, any planter with hangers will do.

A Five-Piece Amazon Set for $17 could be a good choice for the occasion.

“If your pots don’t have drainage holes, drill them in the bottom with a hammer and nail,” she said.

Back at home, she leaned the trellis against an empty wall, planted her herbs in the new pots, added labels, and hung the pots from the trellis.

The space-saving DIY, she explained, saved her a lot of agonizing over which herbs to plant.

“I was undecided about my backyard for so long and this was a great solution,” she said.

The gardener revealed that she found her choice of herbs and soil at The Home Depot.

“I use an organic potting mix for garden herbs/veggies,” she added.
