The new owner shared photos of the emotional moment.
NEW NEIGHBORS
“I did No Mow May as a first-time homeowner,” said the Redditor.
“And a mother deer hid her fawns on the front lawn until they were ready to walk.”
Among the clovers and dandelions were two baby deer relaxing in the sun.
One Redditor asked if the discovery was enough for them to abandon mowing their lawn altogether.
“It’s certainly tempting,” they replied.
“I have plans to eliminate most of my grass and replace it with native plantings.
“I’m working on a big flower meadow in my backyard for pollinators this year, and maybe next year that will be the front.”
TEAM WITHOUT MOW
Several Redditors weighed in on the beautiful discovery in the unmown lawn.
“This is amazing – you were chosen,” one wrote.
“I had to water my pollinator garden last week (damn lack of rain) and started spraying it.
“A deer like this ran out of the way and looked at me like, ‘Really, bro?’
“I felt so bad, but in reality it was just a little water.
