If you want your stylish tops to have minimal lines, all you have to do is pinch, grab and twist, according to the home decor mogul.
Entrepreneur Martha Stewart is known for her tried-and-true recipes, DIY crafts, and design tips.
If you want your laundry methods to rival their outstanding personality, try their unique folding technique.
A well-folded shirt not only saves space in your drawers, but it also makes your clothes less likely to wrinkle.
Stewart shared in a blog post On their website there are several ways to fold your clothes to look neat and fresh.
There was one that stood out from the rest.
She revealed how she achieves the “most perfect fold possible” with her specific process.
STEP BY STEP
Stewart offered specific instructions on how to easily accomplish the task.
She first said to lay the shirt horizontally and face up in front of you, with the neck on the right side.
The collar should face to the left, while the hem of the shirt should face to the right.
PERFECT Tweezers
Then, using both hands, lightly press the shirt on the opposite side at two points.
Place your thumb and forefinger on your shoulder, halfway between your sleeve and your neck, or about a third of the way.
Place your other index finger and thumb halfway down the shirt, or about two or three inches from the armhole.
This is parallel to your other hand.
WIN WIN
While holding both ends, cross your right hand over your left and lower your shoulder until it meets the bottom hem of the shirt.
Then, take the same hem at the bottom and pinch it to lift the shirt and let it hang in front of you.
TWISTED TOP
Make sure you uncross your arms without letting go of the shirt and pull the fold tight as you do so.
If you do this, you will have to start over.
Lastly, place the hanging sleeve on your work surface and carefully place the folded part on it.
