A CONFIDENT mum has shared that she isn’t worried about giving her daughter a unique name.

The reason, she explained, is that she is sure her daughter will become a business owner.

Editor Meaningful_Art2011 shared the baby’s unique name in a viral post.

“[A] woman on Instagram named her daughter Lemon,” they said.

Although people on Instagram were horrified by the fruity name, the mom was undeterred.

“People asked in the comments if she was joking/was it a pseudonym – it’s not,” they said.

“She’s also calling her daughter a baby influencer! So there’s that.”

One concerned commenter expressed her concerns directly to the mother.

“Imagine your daughter arriving at a corporate job interview in an expensive suit only to introduce herself as freaking Lemon,” they said.

The mother, however, was not in a bad mood with the comment.

“Lemon won’t have to worry about being hired because she will be a strong, independent woman who will have all of you as her elite employees,” she replied.

Critics of the unique name, however, disagreed with the mother’s sentiments.

Viral baby name sparks online debate

Many did not agree with the mother’s beliefs.

“This mom is delusional if she thinks her son will never have to get hired anywhere,” said one commenter.

“That assumption is wilder than the name choice, honestly,” said another.

Some thought that the baby would grow up with a grudge against his mother.

“I’m not a bitter guy, but I would be really sour if you called me Lemon,” said one commenter.

Many agreed that, even including celebrities who named their children after foods, Lemon was a bad choice.

“Yes, even Apple (Gwyneth Paltrow’s son) is a better name than Lemon,” said one commenter.

“Drew Barrymore’s daughter is ‘Olive,’” added another.

“Both that and Apple are better names than Lemon, which is synonymous with broken, sour, etc.”

One viewer predicted that the baby will grow up to resent the figure of speech.

“I hope she never comes across the saying ‘If life gives you lemons…’,” said one commenter.

“She will discover that her mother secretly hates her,” they joked.
