A HOMEOWNER didn’t just tell, but showed how they were living their best lush life on their lawn.

Instead of being overrun by filth, they proved they had a green thumb with their very green outdoor space.

Editor New_start_121023 also credited other users of the platform with offering some useful hacks.

They knew that sometimes it takes a lot of work to perfect the look of your lawn.

“A while ago, I posted asking what to do after cultivating my yard. I received a lot of advice,” they said.

“And I didn’t know it was better to do this in the fall than in the spring, so I was really worried that I would be stuck in the dirt all summer,” they added.

Turns out they had nothing to worry about and explained how the advice they received about their three-step technique “really paid off.”

“I washed everything there pretty aggressively. I added dirt to the low spot that held water. I tilled it again, waited a few days for the soil to dry, and then washed it a third time,” they said.

After spreading the starter fertilizer, they “lightly” tilled it into the top few inches of soil.

They also swept everything up as “smoothly” as possible.

“I ran my rake through the dirt to try to mix the seed and Milo a little,” they said.

“Then I watered it three times a day for 15 to 20 minutes each time, until it started to grow.”

Their goal now was just to try and make sure it didn’t get “too dry.”

Although they didn’t mulch anything, they mowed the lawn twice on the “highest setting.”

They continued to describe how they transformed their space.

“I took a lot of clods and reseeded those areas. It’s still a little thin in some spots, but it’s not empty anywhere,” they said.

“This fall I will be aerating and seeding the entire property, including this section, next fall,” they said.

They explained how they ripped everything out and added soil to have “proper drainage” for replanting.

They also learned a few lawn lessons along the way.

“I bought a leveling rake and swept the land for hours. If I knew then what I know now, I would have done a little drag to pull behind my mower,” they said.

“But I think the physical work makes it much more satisfying.”

They still didn’t seem to believe in the new pitch.

How to get rid of weeds

Tony Williams is the property manager for Mount Ephraim Country House & Gardens in the UK.

He revealed to The US Sun the best organic remedies to get rid of weeds.

Mixture of two ingredients: “Mix four liters of vinegar, 250 grams of salt and a tablespoon of soap to obtain a potent herbicide,” he said.

Lemon juice: “Whether freshly squeezed or bottled, lemon juice is a simple and natural herbicide,” he revealed.

Boiling water: “Pouring boiling water on weeds can kill them instantly without damaging nearby plants,” he said.

Diluted alcohol: “Spray this solution on the weeds to induce water loss and effectively kill them,” he said.

Manual harvesting: “Focus on removing them early, especially the notorious ones like dandelions, to prevent the seeds from spreading,” he said.

“This part of my yard has grown more moss than grass in the last five years I’ve lived here,” they said.

“The term farming refers to the cultivation of the soil”, according to the San Diego Seed Company.

The practice is most commonly performed with a tiller or other type of mechanical equipment to break up soil particles.

Other Redditors also noticed the transformation.

“Looks great. Well done,” one user wrote.

“This looks fantastic, congratulations,” said another.

“Almost perfect,” added a third user.
