A YOUNG woman who became a tradesman’s wife after finishing school has revealed how her life left her with no real experience.
Alice, now 25, took to social media revealing how her strict upbringing and traditional wifely lifestyle meant she knew nothing about the world now.

Alice became a wife at the age of 19 and soon gave birth to her eldest son, Fern.
A few years later she gave birth to her second child, but her marriage fell apart and she ended up leaving.
Now, the single mother of two has learned about life again — from how to date in the modern world to financially supporting her children.

Emulating past relationships, the husband serves as the family’s main breadwinner, while the wife stays at home to care for the children, clean, and prepare the family’s meals.
The lifestyle has been glamorized in recent months on Instagram and TikTok as influencers share their lives as ‘trad wives’ with their followers, but until now, few women in this community have shared the reality of what happens when things don’t change. It was as expected.
Alice, who shares two children with her ex-husband, joked about her situation.
She wrote, “Me trying to distract you from having the life experience of a child,” while dancing in her kitchen.
“I wasn’t allowed to leave the house for anything other than school when I lived with my parents and then moved out to be a trad wife,” she captioned the clip.
In another video, the mother revealed that her lifestyle meant she lacked the work experience to find a job now that she was separated from her partner and not dependent on his income.
On social media, she said: “How to make up for six years of no work experience or education for being a wife hustler at 19.”
Asked why she was no longer a fan of this lifestyle, Alice says it’s difficult to get out of a bad relationship.
