A home cook sparked envy when he revealed the 14-piece set he bought at a local thrift store.
They confessed that they were surprised to have gotten the kitchen set for the same low price as it would have cost to buy just one pan.
The buyer took to Reddit’s Thrift Store Hauls forum to praise his purchase.

Posting under the handle Darweezythey shared several photos of their Le Creuset collection.
“Dream find, Le Creuset 14 piece I found unopened at our local thrift store for $200,” they said.
“It’s not the amount I would normally spend, but it’s too good a deal to pass up.

“New to this sub, I’ll post some more previous finds, but as an amateur home cook – a complete set for the cost of one pan, I’m amazed.”
Photos of the 14-piece stainless steel set showed pots and pans in excellent condition as they were stored in plastic.
The same set of cookware costs a whopping $1,678 on the market Le Creuset website.
According to the manufacturer, they are made of durable material and provide “fast and uniform heating”.
The set is scratch-resistant and can be used to make different recipes.
A classic stainless steel chef’s pan is sold separately on the brand’s website for $280.
The Redditor shared a tip for others who want to find budget-friendly kitchenware.
“I’ve been slowly upgrading my cookware with the few pans I’ve found at Goodwill over the past few years, mostly cast iron — so getting into this has been amazing,” they said.
“Consistency is key, I learned this during an era of unemployment in Los Angeles where I had nothing better to do than go to Goodwills every day.
“I took this with me to Indiana and stopped at my thrift stores almost daily on lunch/on the way home… 9 times out of 10, nothing other than you have to come back!”
Why is Le Creuset so expensive?
