LET’S face it: Spending hours on end pulling weeds from your garden is unlikely to be at the top of your to-do list.
But what if we told you there was a super easy way to get rid of them in an instant? Well, you’re in luck!
It’s because Asda shoppers have been rushing to their nearest branch to grab a £2 bargain which they say does just that.
Wojciech Malchrzycki adopted a money saving Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargains in the UK and praised the handy ‘Hand Weeder’ which he bought in a bid to get rid of his weeds once and for all.
Alongside the post, he wrote: “ASDA Hand Weeder £2 is something amazing – highly recommended.”
Many were eager to know exactly how it worked, with one gardening guru helpfully explaining: “For those asking how to use it:
“Push the tip of the fork/fork into the root system, then use the arched part as leverage.”
It wasn’t long before impressed social media users who were eager to save time and money on the arduous task of gardening rushed to the comments section.

“We need one of these,” wrote one person who tagged a friend.
Another also tagged a friend and noted, “Our favorite tool!”
Meanwhile, a third added: “Well if it was so nice to have one it would have saved me 3.5 hours of weeding my plot.”
And it’s not the first time in recent weeks that Asda shoppers have gone into a frenzy over the £2 tool.
Previous Fabulous told how a man called Gary Norman called it “the best £2 I’ve spent!”
Addressing his social media followers in a post shared on TikTok (@itsgarynorman), he insists: “If you’ve got weeds on your lawn like me, you need to run to Asda straight away.”
He then demonstrates exactly how simple the gadget is to use.
Dealing with the first weed he finds in his garden, he then tilts the tip of the hand weeder into the soil, before explaining that you need to turn it 360 degrees to pull out the entire root.
Gardening work in June

The Sun’s gardening editor Veronica Lorraine has shared the tasks you should tackle this month.
Mark leggy perennials
With all the dramatic weather we’re experiencing, it’s definitely time to stake out your leggy perennials (the ones that come back every year). Heavy rains and growth spurts can cause them to collapse and fail.
Choosing Slugs and Snails
Hopefully as we move into summer they will cause less damage as the plants grow. The best way is still to go out at night with a headlamp to find them.
Choose Elderflower Heads
You can use them to make your own cordial, or add to cakes, champagne or even fry them in batter.
Stay on top of the weeds
Now is the time for weeds to really grow in the garden, so control them with weeding – or just the traditional ‘on your knees with a fork’ approach. Try to avoid chemicals – remember that weeds are just plants in the wrong place.
Above the cut
You will need to mow the lawn weekly now – if you have time, remove the weeds in advance as once you mow you cut the leaves and they are harder to see.
Check your tomatoes
Your tomato plants will need attention – regularly water, feed and pinch off side shoots.
Chelsea Chop
There’s still time for the Chelsea Chop – plants like Rudbeckia, Asters, Penstemons, Sedums and other perennials can be cut back by a third to help them get a little thicker and extend the flowering period.
Arrange your tulips
If you can be bothered and have space, lift and arrange your tulip bulbs to ensure color next spring.
Deadheading your roses
Get them to the first set of healthy leaves – which will ensure more flowers for longer.
Enjoy your space
Take some time to sit and enjoy your garden or outdoor space – it’s great for your mental health. Even just a few minutes a day can make a big difference.
Showing how they can be removed in a matter of seconds, he enthuses: “Look at all of them… it took me two minutes! Amazing.”
Elsewhere, a woman called Amber also told how she was a fan of the £2 purchase from Asda.
She commented, “Find the weed, go in there and use this and it will rip right off – look at that, man! Hitting!”
Alongside the post, Amber insisted: “Honestly this is the best weed tool I’ve ever found and it’s only £2!! Don’t go RUNNING to @Asda.”
