A MODEL has joined the legion of women turning to TikTok to share their dating woes.
Last year, Vera Dijkmans took to social media to announce that she was accepting applications from men to be her boyfriend.
Potential suitors rushed to submit their application, but it’s been almost a year and the influencer is no closer to finding Mr. Right.
She has received 5,000 entries to date – but Dijkmans, who has 5.5 million Instagram Followerssays only three of them fit its criteria.
“I would say I received around 5,000 applications, but after going through most of them I only found three guys that I thought were suitable,” said Dijkmans, who lives in London.
“I went on a date with them – but I’m still single.
“Despite this disappointing result, I still consider the experience a success as I was able to be honest about what I wanted and see which men fit those criteria.
“I had to filter a lot of strange applications.
“A man offered to send me a sample of his blood and asked for mine in return – which I ignored.
“I also had a famous person pop up in my DMs – I can’t say who it is, but I definitely wasn’t expecting it!
“Most of the candidates were from Texas and many of them were Aquarius.”
In the original video, Dijkmans revealed what she included in her questionnaire, including asking if her potential partner lives with their parents, has current “sex calls” or owns a car.
The model has never had a long-term relationship.
One man said he lives with his parents and doesn’t have a car, but he owns two boats.
Another suitor promised to never hit on Dijkmans’ friends — which you’d think would be a given.
A fellow contestant boasted a full-time career but refused to give her the biggest closet.
Although Dijkmans enjoyed the challenge, she has decided to stay offline in her search for love from now on.
“I wouldn’t do another online application process,” she said.
“If I do this again, I’ll probably make it a real-life event.”
Previously, Dijkmans talked about what characteristics her ideal man will possess, including being funny, having good taste in music, having his own income and watching cartoons.
Her story follows several viral videos on TikTok of women sharing their frustrations with dating.
As for Dijkmans, she simply refuses to compromise.
“I’ve put my search for a boyfriend on hold for now, but I’m keeping my options open,” she said.
“I’m very demanding and I need a guy to be almost perfect.
“I don’t think I should have to compromise my needs. I prefer to stay single until I find the man I should be with.”
The US Sun previously reported how, when Dijkmans was making money modeling on OnlyFans, a former teacher of hers paid more than $1,000 for a “sexy” photo.
What’s even more shocking is that the same teacher once told her that she “wasn’t going anywhere in life.”
