A COUPLE whose wedding suppliers canceled at the last minute saved the day – ordering 110 portions of fish and chips.
Immie Teed, 30, and Josh Titmouth, 40, ran a chippy when the supplier pulled out 24 hours before the big day.
The couple was crying and wondering how to feed their guests, but Krispies chip shop came into view.
Receptionist Immie, from Exmouth, Devon, said: “As we were arriving at the venue the supplier canceled.
“Josh, who knows him very well, said, ‘If this is a joke, it’s not funny.’
“But he was feeling unwell – and found out that morning he had E.coli.
“My mom had the idea to call Krispies — she said, ‘Call Krispies, right now.’
“We love their food, we know they are trustworthy.”
The chippy, owned by Kelly Barnes, delivered the meals.
The order included cod and chips, chicken nuggets for the children’s table and veggie burgers.
Kelly said: “The bride was beside herself, as she obviously would be.
“It was a pleasure to be able to help. How could we not?
”Our team was amazing and some stayed after their shift to help.
