A SHOPPER scored some savings with the high-quality kitchenware he found to steal.

They may have been perplexed about using all the items, but they weren’t complaining about the food preparation scores.

Editor Hibelly I was in shock at the discount.

“Immaculate. So excited,” they said.

They explained how they only paid $8.99 for their blue kitchen purchases from the well-known brand.

This represented a 90% savings for the set that was worth over $100.

One Redditor was equally impressed by the discovery, but also curious what to do with it.

“Beautiful! But what exactly are they – a tray and what is the other piece for? Soup? I’ve never seen a Le Creuset tray before!” they said.

“I think it’s a diving set? I honestly have no idea what it’s for, haha”, they replied.

The small pot appears to be a Le Creuset Mini Round Cocotte which retails for $36.

This individual-sized cocotte is described as ideal for making gratins, tarts and tarts.

The small dish allows for faster cooking.

I can’t believe my score on the kitchen in the thrift store bins – people say they’re the originals their grandmothers had

Made from premium stoneware, it helps ensure heat distribution.

Its heat retention also means food is kept at the perfect serving temperature.

Perhaps the reason the set was found in such good condition is because it is made with a scratch-resistant, non-reactive colored enamel.

It also has non-stick interiors so food can be easily removed.

The other piece appears to cost $65 Le Creuset serving plate.

Why is Le Creuset so expensive?

Le Creuset cookware is on the wish list of many home cooks and bakers.

But the French brand’s Dutch ovens can cost between $260 and $750, and even a loaf pan costs $180.

So what justifies such high prices?

Le Creuset’s Dutch ovens are among its most popular items and—along with several other parts of its cookware—are made from high-quality enameled cast iron.

They’re made to last a long time and even come with a lifetime warranty “to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.”

“It’s like, do you really want to buy something $50 over and over again, or do you want to invest in something and know you’ll have it for a long time?” Nate Collier, director of marketing and communications at Le Creuset, told Eater.

According to Kitchen utensils specialist15 quality control officers inspect each branded item before it is sold.

Of course, they are also beautiful and are a status symbol.

“You think of it as a simple kitchen piece, but even the silhouette of our Dutch oven is recognizable,” Collier said.

“You could show someone a line drawing without any color, and most people who are familiar with cookware would be able to tell that it’s specifically a Le Creuset Dutch oven.”

Celebrity fans include Julia Child, Marilyn Monroe, Jennifer Garner and Taylor Swift.

The board has two wide handles for easy transport.

It also has ridged edges that slope upwards.

And, of course, it also has the same chip- and stain-resistant enamel.

Others were equally shocked by the findings.

“Absolute rip-off,” wrote one user.

“What a cool find and that price?!” wrote another Redditor.

They found a Le Creuset kitchen set worth $100 – it looked like they had gotten a serving plate and a mini cocotte for $9.
