SOME people shell out hundreds of pounds for the perfect duvet set.

So it’s no wonder homeware fans have started rushing to Asda to scan double Seersucker sets for just £1.60.

Vitória took it to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Group after discovering the epic bargain at your local store.

“Can’t go wrong for £1.60! Lovely duvet set!” she wrote alongside a photo of the duvet set, which comes with two pillowcases.

And while there were tons of people excited about the deal, others had some words of warning to offer.

“No… They’re polyester, they slide all over the bed and make you sweat,” wrote one.

“I was wrapped like a burrito couldn’t be unwrapped – I donated it to charity haha,” added another.

“Is this how I’m sweating like crazy?? I thought you were my age!” a third commented.

“I normally don’t understand them if they’re slippery, but I think this one is good – so far haha,” said someone else.

As another wrote: “I had this material, it doesn’t wash well, but it will suit people on a budget.”

The comforter set is actually 52% recycled polyester and 48% cotton.

“There’s no way I bought this last week at full price!” Someone else commented on the post, to which another said: “I bought it over a week ago, already for £1.60.

“I would go back to your local store and ask if it should be on sale!”

And others admitted they would listen to their local Asda looking for the same duvet set.

“You can’t go wrong with this price,” wrote one.

“I loved the color,” added another.

“Brilliant, sweet bargains,” said a third.

Positive reviews have also continued to pour in on the George at Asda website, where the duvet set is still listed for £10 per couple.

Reasons to buy supermarket fashion

When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe or update basics, there’s no need to spend hours wandering around clothing stores or browsing online. Just grab a dress or two along with your fruits and vegetables…

They are convenient – You are likely to visit your supermarket more often than a shopping center or high street.

It’s affordable – From basics to fashion-forward pieces, supermarkets are paving the way for budget-friendly fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They are more fashionable than you think – With a customer database larger than the average high street store, stores such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to serve markets and forecast trends in many more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. The fabrics also tend to be highly practical – think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thinking.

“I loved this bedding. Beautiful color, amazing quality for a great price!” one wrote.

“I always get my bedding from George now.

“I was spending a fortune on duvet covers from other companies where the quality wasn’t as good as George bedding.

“This was about a quarter of the price and much better!”

As another added: “When it comes to duvets, I totally understand the importance of finding one that is soft and comfortable.

“It’s all about comfort for a good night’s sleep.

“And this is all about that!”

But people in reviews on the Asda website said the set was super comfortable to sleep in.
