The young woman headed for the front door when she noticed the problem.

In the clip, she showed that the mailman had left her package just below the front door handle.

While it didn’t seem like a big deal at first, Paige and viewers soon realized that this meant it was impossible for her to open the door.

The hilarious moment was captured on film, with Paige writing: “When the postman leaves your package under the door handle and now you’re under house arrest.”

You could see Paige trying to move the door handle up and down, but she couldn’t leave it trapped in the house until help arrived.

“I have Vinted packages I need to post, smh,” she added in the caption of the post.

After being unable to open the door, Paige decided to write a note and stick it in the front door window.

The note asked anyone passing by to move the package so they could open the door and feel a taste of freedom again.

“It’s okay, I dug a tunnel in the ground like a mole,” she joked in the comments, leaving viewers now that she has finally escaped her fate.

Paige clearly saw the funny side of her situation and people were in hysterics over the clip.

Delivery Driver Secrets

A delivery driver reveals how to ensure your packages are always delivered

  1. Make sure you have a house number or name visible
  2. Keep entry clear for large deliveries such as food stores
  3. Keep your porch light on if you’re expecting a late delivery so you can see your house number
  4. Keep your phone on and close to you so the delivery person can call you if they need help finding your home
  5. Don’t wait for them to come to you if you live in an apartment building

“Okay? Not if the crank doesn’t go down?” Paige replied.

“OMG one time they left a package full of fragile ceramic dishes outside my door that opens outwards and well… you can probably guess the rest,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “I feel like that postman wanted to hear from you.”

“Request a return and ask them to collect it from your home. It’s the best advice you’ve received so far,” said a fifth.

Someone else added: “A place so safe you can’t even get it.”
