A WOMAN has sparked controversy after revealing she has already put up her Christmas tree – despite it only being June.

“Welcome to Christmas in June,” Janet began her TikTok video.

“I got a lot of comments saying are you keeping the tree standing?

“I also got a lot of comments saying why would you put the tree up in June as if you were wasting half the year?”

Responding, Janet insisted she is “living life to the fullest”.

“Just because we’re told to put up a tree in December doesn’t mean we have to do it.

“So I’m keeping mine!”

Not only is Janet keeping her tree up, but she also said she was going to put some Christmas signs on the wall and add some “really, really big candy canes” in the room as well.

“Who cares? I don’t care. I don’t care what anyone thinks,” she added.

Janet also revealed she loves nothing more than watching Christmas films at night, and even started her festive shopping six weeks ago.

“Happy June, my loves”, concluded Janet.

The comments section was immediately filled with people commenting on her early Christmas, with many in her corner.

“I loved it,” wrote one.

“I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping.

“I start early every year, I’m a single mom, so it’s easier for me.”

“I have my tree up year-round and change it every season,” added another.

“I love Christmas because it’s so magical when I relax,” said a third.

How to Care for Your Real Christmas Tree

HERE’S what you need to know if you’re buying a real Christmas tree:

The first thing to do is buy a jar (if it doesn’t already come).

You will need to treat your tree like a houseplant and give it water and attention.

Make sure the container has good drainage – and it’s a good idea to put something underneath to catch excess water.

Check the soil every day to make sure it isn’t drying out.

If it seems dry, give it a little water. If it still looks damp, leave it alone, as too much water can also kill a tree.

Also check that the LED bulbs in your tree lights are not too hot, as these can burn them, and keep your tree away from radiators.

When Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.

However, it’s a good idea to remove it from the pot when replanting it, as large trees don’t survive well in pots because their roots need space to grow.

“It’s my favorite time of year, but my partner and kids still won’t let me put them on!”

“I think it looks great! You think,” wrote another person.

“I didn’t get all my grades from last year – I decided they will continue,” said another.

However, others completely disagreed, insisting that Janet was “taking the fun” out of Christmas by keeping the tree up for half the year.

“By spending all year, you are ruining the magic of Christmas – you are taking away the fun,” one wrote.

“Wait a little longer and you’ll get tired of it, so you’re ruining everything.”

“I don’t understand. It makes Christmas less special and exciting, surely?” another added.

“Just weird – this world is full of weirdos,” a third fumed.

“I would get bored and not be excited about Christmas anymore,” wrote another person.

“No, it’s not living life fully – it means wasting your life,” said another.
