Courtney revealed that she doesn’t have to pay any rent for living in her 1999 Ford e150 van, and although her home on wheels doesn’t have a shower, it’s no problem as she goes to the local gym to wash up.

Additionally, Courtney explained that to save money on renovating her van, which she named the Sheila Van Disco, she got cheap shopping from Facebook Marketplace as well as roadside giveaways.

Posting on social media, Courtney gave her followers an insight into what van life is really like.

The curly-haired girl gave social media users an up-close look at the van, saying: “This is your daily reminder that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to live in a van.

“Everyone’s needs are different and you can do it cheaply.

“90% of my van came from Facebook Marketplace, thrift stores, curbside finds and I think it’s really cute.”

Courtney’s van has two seats in the front and a bed in the back.

Under her bed, Courtney has plenty of room for storage boxes, one of which holds her entire kitchen.

In another video, Courtney delved into the kitchen setup of her budget van.

She explained that when she wants to cook, she will place the table and stove outside the van.

She then showed off her bin full of supplies, as she continued, “I have a bin full of my cooking utensils – I have a kettle that I found at Goodwill, assorted pasta, a pan that I also found at Goodwill, currently full of various sauces, all my seasonings, dishes were from Walmart, my utensils, measuring cups, a sponge to clean and I have bowls and Tupperware for leftovers.”

Additionally, Courtney also shared with her followers how she washes and gets water, as she stated, “I refill water normally at hiking spots or at the store. Planet Fitness membership or shower truck stops!

Is it legal to live in a van?

IF you’re looking to live in a van to save money or travel, you’ll be pleased to know that there are no laws in the UK that stop you.

However, you must ensure that your vehicle has passed its MOT and is completely legal to drive on the roads.

There may also be restrictions on where you can park and sleep in your van.

For example, local authorities impose restrictions on certain streets or locations, and you could be fined if you spend the night there.

It can also be dangerous to spend the night in some places (especially at night).
