WITH summer weather finally upon us, chances are you’ll soon want to quickly clean up those dirty flagstones on your patio.
But if you don’t want to shell out for an expensive jet washer, then you’re in luck… because gardening fans have shared a super quick and easy way to make the arduous task a whole lot easier.
It comes after a woman named Michelle Seller joined the Facebook group Gardening with an official budget and shared a photo of her dirty-looking patio.
Alongside the post, she wrote: “Hi, my patio slabs are all like this.
“Fortunately it’s not a big space. Is there a cheaper way to clean instead of buying a jet washer?
“It’s as simple as bleach and a stiff brush, perhaps? And is a basic wooden brush enough?

“Any advice is welcome, thank you.”
And luckily for Michelle, she had no shortage of responses, with many rushing to recommend the same product – ‘Spear & Jackson Select Spray & Leave’, which is sold at Home Bargains.
And perhaps the best part of all?
It’s currently reduced from £11.99 to just £6.99, meaning you can save a whopping £5.
“This worked on mine without scrubbing,” one person enthused.
A second wrote: “The cheapest version of Wet and Forget is Spray and Leave – works so well.”
The online product description notes that the product is an “algae, lichen, and mold killer.”
He adds that once removed from the surface, the substance will also “work to repel any future dirt and inhibit the growth of algae and lichens.”
Not only that, but it also contains active ingredients that help neutralize and prevent growth, making it the perfect option for the unpredictable British weather.
Gardening fans will also be pleased to know that it’s also super simple to use – just spray the affected area using the long-hose spray or watering can.
So it’s no wonder other satisfied customers are rushing online to leave five-star reviews.
“No rubbing, just sprayed and left!” wrote one person.
“To be honest, I was skeptical about things, but something that actually works!”
A second added: “Used this on my patio. Incredible!!!”
How to Repair Broken Patio Slabs

The paving experts at Simply Paving told Fabulous how you can fix broken patio slabs, no fuss.
Experts advised: “If you have a loose paving slab, it is unlikely that it can be lifted directly by hand. Instead, you’ll probably need a hammer and chisel to free your patio pavers.
“To remove loose slabs without damaging the slabs, carefully remove the mortar around the slab with the chisel and rubber mallet until the slab comes completely loose.
“Then, slide the shovel into the opening left by the mortar and remove the paver from the patio.
“When lifting it, place a small piece of wood under the shovel to act as a lever, making the task easier and protecting the slab underneath.
“When the paver starts to give way, place the cylindrical wood underneath it and roll the slab off the patio.”
