KEEPING your bathroom clean is a never-ending battle, as damp conditions often lead to mold and mildew.
If you’re struggling to get your tiles shiny, there’s an easy way to banish even the most stubborn black mold – and it costs just £5.
Although it is generally worse in the winter, mold grows in most bathrooms due to the moist air and the amount of lingering bacteria.
Since mold can worsen health problems like asthma, allergies, and respiratory infections, you might think that spending hours scrubbing your bathroom is the solution.
However, a cleaning genius has revealed that they use £5 spray to easily prevent black mould.
They shared the budget-friendly tip on Facebook after a user revealed they were struggling to get rid of mold and mildew in their shower.
Uploading a photo to Mrs Hinch’s cleaning tips and tricks group, they showed how black mold had stained the grout between the tiles.
It even turned yellow in some places and the user didn’t know what to do.
After trying to clean it with an old toothbrush and bleach, they begged the group for help.
In the caption, they wrote: “It’s really embarrassing to post this but I need some tips and advice on how to make my shower sparkle again…please it’s so gross.”
Fortunately, the group had an easy solution for the cleaner in question – HG Mold Remover spray.
“HG mold remover, spray and leave overnight,” commented one user, with another adding: “100% HG mold remover.”
A third agreed, writing: “I used this and it looks brilliant.”
Packed with dirt-busting whitening agents, it’s no wonder this powerful spray has come highly recommended.
Even better, you can find it in major supermarkets, DIY stores and discounters, with stores like B&M regularly putting it on their shelves.
You also won’t need to spend a small fortune on this cleaning product, as you can currently find a 500ml bottle for just £5.25 at Tesco.
If you’re still struggling to banish black mold from your home, there are plenty of other tried-and-true products in the comments.
“Amazing mold and mildew remover sprayed on and left overnight. Take a shower in the morning. Repeat if necessary. This really works,” suggested a fourth.
Meanwhile, some have claimed that the cleaner should use Kilrock gel as part of a multi-step process.
“First step: Kilrock limescale remover spray. Spray, leave in one piece, scrub the mortar, etc. RINSE,” said a fifth, adding that this should be followed with Dettol Mold Spray.
They then wrote: “Repeat as necessary. Orange is chalky. Black is mold.
“Don’t mix products. One at a time.”
If you plan to remove mold from your home, always be sure to keep the space well ventilated and wear gloves when cleaning.
With these tips and tricks, you’ll have your grout shining in no time.
