A WOMAN has revealed she was shocked when she discovered a ‘secret message’ in her Lush hair conditioner.
Brooke splurged on the store’s much-loved Super Milk spray after hearing about its long-lasting scent on social media.
But she then made another discovery, learning that the stickers on Lush products – which say which employee made them – have messages underneath.
Admitting to a TikTok video that she must have been “living under a rock”, Brooke said she “never knew that”, so wanted to see if it was true.
Removing the sticker from the Super Milk spray, she saw that it said “Does it have plant-based milk?”
“Not a very good secret message, but this Super Milk is very good!” she added.
Brooke then went looking for another Lush product to see what was under the sticker on that one.
She found a Shrek body wash, and under the sticker it said “there’s an arrow in your butt”.
Clearly impressed, Brooke mused: “Is that a Shrek reference?”
She then went looking for a third Lush product, which was “very dusty” because she has a tendency to “buy them and not use them”.
Brooke took it out and read “AOKOLEN”.
“What the hell?
“No wonder it’s a secret message.
“I don’t need to know that.
“I don’t even know what that means! Useless!”
People were quick to comment on the video, with many admitting they had no idea about the hidden messages.
“I just bought Honey I Washed The Kids,” wrote one.
“I’m RUNNING to get the sticker removed!”
“I bought Honey, washed the kids.. I just ran to look and mine said ‘buzzing’… that’s it!” another added.
But others were more disturbed that the Shrek reference went over Brooke’s head.
“Are you a Shrek fan?” one wrote.
“I was thinking the same thing, oh my God,” another laughed.
“How come you don’t know that Shrek reference, Brooke?” a third wondered.
While someone else said: “‘There’s an arrow in your ass’ is definitely a Shrek reference haha!”
According to Lush itself, the secret messages are for those who put the stickers on the pot or bottle – so they know “exactly where to put them”.
