WITH a body positive mindset and a stroke of luck, a curvy model has shared how she has embraced her physique that keeps her reserved and busy.
She admitted that she never thought she would work as a bikini model because of her gorgeous body, but now she is in high demand and has no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Florida-based model Riss Dubois (@realitywithriss) recently modeled in Miami at Swim Week for famous brands like Oh Polly, Olivia London Swimwear, GSaints Swimwear and Lili Creation, to name a few.
While behind the scenes Art Hearts Fashion On Miami Swim Week, she spoke to The US Sun about her entry into the industry, memorable moments on the runway and her trick for staying confident.
DOUBT DECISION
“When I started modeling, I was recruited to model in Miami and I have big hips and a big butt,” she said.
Due to her body shape, the 29-year-old admitted she didn’t always think she could be a model.

She revealed that she weighs 195 pounds, with a 34-inch bust, 27-inch waist, and 47-inch hips.
“I didn’t know anyone would want me to model for them, but the bikini band really loved me,” she added.
Thus, she continued to be hired for bikini jobs and campaigns.
Riss said participating in Swim Week was just a “natural progression” from being a swimwear model.
When she’s not modeling bikinis, she’s also a popular influencer in the Miami area.
She now has more than 800,000 Instagram followers who enjoy her swimwear and fitness content.
RIGHT FIT
Riss said she typically has no trouble finding swimwear for her body and credits this to her proper diet and lifestyle.
“Fortunately, I’m very thick and curvy, but at the same time, I have a very athletic build, so I haven’t had much trouble finding bikinis,” she said.
Although she has faced her fair share of problems at times.
“Sometimes a piece is too tight at the bottom and too big at the top because I’m pear-shaped,” she added.
“Often the breasts will be too big for me if the bottom fits.”
“It seems like I’m a confident, bad idiot all the time.”

Riss shared some fashion tricks that models and non-models can do to ensure their bikinis don’t move.
“These are swimsuits, accidents can happen. Some girls like to put on hairspray if they have a changing swimsuit or body tape,” she recommended.
But Riss has a simple trick that “helps your body look a lot better” and helps your bikini stay in place.
“I always tell girls to make sure they roll their shoulders back before going on stage and have the best posture,” she advised.
CONFIDENCE KICK
Riss said she likes to present herself confident at all times, but shared that she has encountered some embarrassing moments and wardrobe malfunctions on the runway.
She revealed that an incident happened right before the interview, but she did well.
Her rule on stage is to act like she is “acting.”
“The last walk I went on, I was wearing a shawl and the shawl was very, very big. On the way back, the shawl slipped under my heel and I slipped a little, but I kept it. ,” she said.
“It feels like I’m a confident, bad bitch all the time,” she declared.
Ultimately, confidence is key to body positive modeling.
