The young woman revealed that she was taking rubbish to the external bin when she made the discovery.

“I just took out the trash and found this in my recycling bin,” she captioned the post.

The item in question? A stunning burnt orange cast iron Le Creuset casserole dish.

The item is worth £300 to buy new, so of course Anastasia took it back inside.

She later shared an updated video of her dark interior, which she decided to try and fix.

The young woman cleaned it with a mop and restored it to an almost new appearance.

The iconic round cast iron casserole dish may seem like a steep price for a £300 pan, but it’s designed to last a lifetime, so you’ll only need to buy it once.

The cast iron material means it is durable and high quality, and will take on flavors over the years, improving your cooking every time you use it.

You can use it on the stove or in the oven to make preparing larger meals even easier.

Clearly Anastasia was thrilled with her discovery and couldn’t believe her luck.

Posting to your account anastasiakeeley It has since gone viral and many people have taken to the comments congratulating her on her discovery.

One person wrote: “Who the hell would throw this away?!”

Another commented: “And they say there are no ‘free chickens’ running down the street! Congratulations, that thing looks to be in amazing condition.”

“Biggest middle class tip ever,” wrote a third.

Why is Le Creuset so expensive?

Le Creuset cookware is on the wish list of many home cooks and bakers.

But the French brand’s Dutch ovens can cost between $260 and $750, and even a loaf pan costs $180.

So what justifies such high prices?

Le Creuset’s Dutch ovens are among its most popular items and—along with several other parts of its cookware—are made from high-quality enameled cast iron.

They’re made to last a long time and even come with a lifetime warranty “to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.”

“It’s like, do you really want to buy something $50 over and over again, or do you want to invest in something and know you’ll have it for a long time?” Nate Collier, director of marketing and communications at Le Creuset, told Eater.

According to Kitchen utensils specialist15 quality control officers inspect each branded item before it is sold.

Of course, they are also beautiful and are a status symbol.

“You think of it as a simple kitchen piece, but even the silhouette of our Dutch oven is recognizable,” Collier said.

“You could show someone a line drawing without any color, and most people who are familiar with cookware would be able to tell that it’s specifically a Le Creuset Dutch oven.”

Celebrity fans include Julia Child, Marilyn Monroe, Jennifer Garner and Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “It reminds me of some of the things I’ve found at garage sales, someone gets married and relatives shower them with expensive kitchenware. Expensive hardware sits collecting dust for a few years and then ends up being scrapped for pennies on the dollar or thrown in the trash.”

“Congratulations,” said a fifth.

Someone added: “Jesus! What’s it like inside the pot?! Anyone who throws this away is crazy and worth their weight in gold, lmao.”
