CLUTTER is no match for a storage expert who has an efficient organizing trick up her sleeve for spring cleaning.

Her favorite tidying technique simply involves an inexpensive item of clothing.

Organizing your home doesn’t have to be stressful, according to an organizing pro who shared her affordable laundry hack

Emma Knight, professional organizer at London-based storage company Urban Locker, knows exactly how to eliminate clutter from your life – or at least your home.

“Decluttering is a slow, steady process that should be approached in bite-sized chunks,” she said.

“However, a few hacks can help reduce clutter in an instant,” she added.

MACHINE WASHABLE STORAGE

Her transformative trick involved using a mesh laundry bag.

She explained how the bags are “big enough” to store a wide variety of items, while also being much more affordable than alternative storage solutions.

“You can put them in other storage boxes or drawers to keep them out of sight,” she said.

Retail giant Amazon sells a three-pack Polecasa fine mesh laundry bags for $5.99.

The bags come in small, medium, and large sizes — costing $2 each.

Made with premium self-locking rustproof zippers, the sturdy purchase is as useful for organizing as it is for cleaning.

CHILD’S PLAY

“Your children’s toys can easily add to the clutter in your home, and if they don’t have a designated space, they often end up getting lost or left for you to pick up,” she said.

“Mesh bags can help with this, as when your children are done playing, they can put their toys back in the bags for storage,” she added.

She also recommends using “different sized bags” to fit any type of toy, from Lego bricks to stuffed animals.

She even offered a decorative solution if you don’t want your bags to be visible in the room.

“You can hide them in other storage spaces in your home,” she said.

Just store them in drawers or store them in fabric baskets.

BATHROOM CARE

She also wants to help you reorganize one of the most cluttered parts of the house: the bathroom.

Don’t worry, there are no judgments here.

“The bathroom is one of the most used rooms in the house and can look dirty when it’s messy,” she said.

“The bathroom above all needs to be functional, so find out what you need to use every day and keep those items on the counter,” he added.

“Then identify the items you use every few days and place them in your mesh bags. Try to keep the same items together so you know where all your products are located.”

Since space is often limited in a bathroom, simply get rid of items you don’t use daily or store them in another room.

Out of sight, out of mind storage.

The same method can be applied to another “highly used” part of the house – the kitchen.

SAND IT UP

It’s time to jump for joy because now you can also organize a junk drawer.

Just fill your bag with kitchen utensils or other items.

There is no need to worry about getting the bags dirty as they are machine washable.

Organizing your room doesn’t mean a battle either.

Simply store your easily foldable clothing items like socks, t-shirts and underwear together in each bag.

In addition to being more organized, you will also be able to put more things in the drawers.

The purchase included many fans, mainly due to their durability.

“Great sizes and look well made, time will tell,” said one shopper.

“Well made, good quality! I’ve been using them for about six months and they still look like new!” said another customer.
